I find it funny because most people on this forum are at least an hour away from me it seems.

Cherry Hill people calling themselves South Jersey*scoffs*

Have you ever driven to NJ?

If you have it is the very first exit after the bridge...there is a McD's and a BK there and stuff.

We are hiring, but usually need previous chemical plant experience

good morning ya'll....i'm still freaking half asleep. pretty busy at work so i wont be on here as much as i used to. wrecked the car this weekend, so i'm still a little pissed, waiting to hear if it will be totalled or not. an effing deer ran out in front of me and when i swerved to miss it i ended up hitting a different deer and went to a ditch. almost rolled the car. the front end & passenger side is totally smashed and my air bag went off once i went into the ditch.

Well we sell like high dollar cookware. Ceramic/Stainless Steel/Cooper. My job is to make sure everything meets or beats the cnacel dates and ships out accordingly. My "people" pick and pack. I oversee what is going on...and do drops with the forklift if they don't ahve the product in the pick bins. Also, data entry cause we work a lot with EDI orders so item numbers, quantities and weights need to be put in and sent to the customer(s). So lol I do a lot for a little.

You sound like everyone my age around me:

"when I get done schoo..."

**** school...$25/hr and at the end of the year $28/hr.

No school...no waiting no bullshit.

Know your job and show up and you will retire here

Dude I should clear 70K this year working minimal OT.

School jobs vs no school jobs mean you can go anywhere and get a job.

I am stuck here for the most part.

The pay is the same

As a matter of fact I made $52k last year making $18.56/hr

No degree also means a glass ceiling when it comes to certain promotions. My dad will never get another promotion (been working at Dupont forever) because he doesnt have a degree...he can basically do his bosses job, but will never get considered for that job because he doesnt have the educational qualifications...he dropped out his last year at UD cuz he got hired at Dupont. Going the no school rout doesn't always work out the best.

So who wants to be a boss?

Not I.

Deal with all that bullshit and make less money than the operators.

I don't get everyone's obsession with being a boss...being a boss is twice as much work and you have all this bullshit to deal with.

And in the long run you don't make ANY more money
