no, you'd want something thicker, a thin amount will spider crack when it dries thus leaving room for air to get through, your best bet, if you intend to remove in the future, would be something like a plumbers thread sealant, just lightly around the coupler would seal it up nicely plus make excess removal a breeze and allow disassembly easily in the future

What kind of BOV? Do you run any couplers? Check for cracks, and tears in your couplers. I only ever had an issue in 1 setup and when I went 4 ply couplers and t bag clamps all problems were fixed.

that looks nice, i've not owned any greddy parts but never been a fan of them in general. i've never heard anything bad about Apexi tho.
i'd still use a putty substance, he just wants a little extra grip on the coupler, you could use plumbers putty too and that would probably work, i wouldn't be a fan of spray hair spray or any spray adhesive onto my car.

barbed fittings work well. if your talking about clamps then your standard hose clamps are probably the most common or more common for boosted applications like your turbo would be the t-bolt clamps
and if your talking about the tiny vac lines then a good zip tie with a zip tie puller works great.
