Balance shaft bushings - will you make them for the front?

Hello,
I've tried every other contact method for OTTP to no avail so I'm resorting to public requests.

I'm looking for front balance shaft bushings to compliment your existing rear option. Is this something you can make by the end of July?

Thanks,
Daniel

If you mean the idlers that are made by cutting the balance shafts there is an option on their site to add them to your order.

You're deleting your water pump? That's the normal reason they don't remove the front idlers, most people don't switch to an electric water pump on these cars.

You can get the full bushing kit from Level Zero I believe. Why not just cut the stock shafts?

Cutting the shafts is not an option for me because I'm using the GM racing shorter water pump chain. It uses one of the balance shaft mount holes.

So, I need front balance shaft bushings which is not something anyone advertises. However, I did get a preliminary call from OTTP about a month ago saying they were thinking about it. Since then I've been trying to get confirmation.

Please elaborate. I don't see how that will help, but maybe I'm missing something.

I think he may be talking about plugging the oil holes with a pipe plug

Got dimensions? You could have any local machine shop make you a couple sleeved to pop in there for a pretty reasonable price I would think.

I could make them for you but I don't have a block to measure.

Level Zero Motorsports

What you need is the smaller front ones they offer, maybe check with them and see? Everybody who would design them does it to retain the water pump chain, what you're doing is neat but it's a solution but it needs some custom machining.

bingo was his namo...

This is a byproduct of the GM shorter chain. I have to plug the front bearing, not use a cut balance shaft. This way I don't have anything spinning at 14krpm (other than the turbo).

I just wish OTTP would contribute to this thread so I could either give-up on them or have some renewed hope.

Get measurements of the front shaft bores and I can make you a pair of sleeves like the ones pictured in the chain pic. I don't have a spare block or balance shafts laying around to measure myself.

That is very kind of you. I'll have to get back to you as I'm traveling at the moment.
