OTTP Control Arm Bushings REVIEW
OTTP - Complete Control Arm Bushings - Review
* OTTP Delrin/Stainless Leading CA Bushing
OTTP Delrin Leading CA Bushing
* OTTP Spherical Trailing CA Bushings
OTTP Spherical Control Arm Bushings
Background Info:
So Josh had hooked me up with a set of his Bushings both the Leading and the Trailing CABS.
- Josh had pre installed the bushings for me so i can not comment on the bushing install procedure.
Install Issues:
Josh had sent me LNF arms, i have an LSJ.
- The issue with this is that the ball joint on the LNF is 1mm bigger than the LSJ.
(thinking 1mm is no big deal we tried to squeeze the joint into the knuckle, well no such luck. 1mm is a huge difference in that area.)
- So after a lot of trial and error, we didnt want to screw up the knuckle and create an ob-long hole for the ball joint.
Solution to the ball joint problem - I ordered Moog Ball joints.
- The stock rivets were ground off and the new Moog ball joints were bolted into place. (thanks to Advise )
**The ball joints were the only issues that we ran into through this entire thing, it was just frustrating that they didnt work**
Install of New Arms w. Moog Ball Joints:
The new ball joints went in like butter.
The L-CABs are soooo much nicer than the stock ones, they move soooo freely.
The T-CABs are much stiffer than the oem ones, and require some effort to get the bolt hole lined up, but they go in perfectly fine.
- Everything lined up perfectly and bolt holes were dead on.
Install Time: 2 hrs
Torque Specs:
* L-CAB to Frame - 41 ft. lbs
*T- CABs to Frame - 148 ft. lbs (just used an impact )
* Ball Joint to Knuckle - 37 ft lbs.
Street Review:
- The alignment is a bit off, this is due to the new Ball Joints - the Toe is a bit off. No biggie.
- Turning response has increased, along with the total feel of the steering wheel.
- You feel the bumps in the road more, but that is expected and nothing you can live with.
- Under steer has DECREASED dramatically !!!
- Very satisfied so far after 50 miles lol
Track Review:
....will come shortly
These will complement all other suspension mods very nicely.
* I will update this as time progresses *
Special THANKS ! goes out to :
Advise - for everything
Johnathan923 - for hanging out
Tays06g85 - for chillen
& Josh @ OTTP for the sweet deal on these
... any questions, comments or concerns feel free to post or PM.

Why would you drill out the better LNF ball joints in favor the the smaller LSJ ones?
All you had to does was stick a screwdriver into the slit on the back of the hub and hit it with a BFH until it opened up a little. This is tried and true and even Powells says it is fine. I have LNF arms in my LSJ knuckles.

1mm ... isnt that serious so its fine.
trust me we had the knuckle off of the car and wedged it open as far as possible and the LNF joint would not go in for anything.
I didnt want to risk breaking the aluminum tabs.
The more the hole was spread the more out of shape the hole got and the sketchier the entire thing got.

yes like stated above i only put 50 miles on them so far lol ... but i was out hitting the on/off ramps after the install ... complete different feel from the front end.
i have all my suspension mods listed in my FCOTM thread ... basically I have everything there is except rear twisting beam bushings and UCR.
But LNF's have the same exact control arms as an LSJ except the 1mm bigger ball joint. so im sure the lnf and lsj feel is the same stock, although ive never driven an LNF before.

trust me when i tell you we took it off and tried our best .... didnt want to risk cracking the knuckle ball joint tabs buy spreading it to much.
Or ob longing the hole, we got it to open about .5mm before we were like **** this it aint happening.
- Advise can back me up on this. + the brand new moog joints were stiff as fackkk compared to used lnf joints.
Advise put some new moog joints on for me and it went it like butter .... im a happy camper now.
Its a fact, the 1mm bigger joint on the LNF are better than the LSJ ones, .... we get that !!!!
- Cant have it all, so make it work how ya can.
anyway enough belly aching about the joints.

Only one person has had any problems with them and that is you. The joints were never returned so I don't know if they failed from damaged seals or what. What I do know is that we now use a completely different manufacturer for our joint and the joints are better than they have ever been.

Then you're the lucky 1! LOL! I've seen others had complaint with OTTP's shipping cause it's only 1 guy Josh handle all of this. I remember 1 guy waited for him for months to get parts from him while he had a baby. I think Josh should hire some people to work for his company to improve his business. That way there will not be a problems for other people buying his parts then ended up waiting for months for their parts. Just a feedback Josh

Installed mine today and i love them already ride quality is sooo much better now only question i had was one side of the bushing had 2 slots on them and i didnt know if they went facing up or down called josh but he was busy and no one answered, but i put them facing down hopefully thats fine.
its pretty straight forward but i think some instructions would well with little thing like that imo. But other than that WOW i really recommend them!! :
The other question i have for the delrin is im i supposed to use any type of lubricant or anything like that on them? And i just need to press them out or is there a better way to get them out?
