With the camera so close to launch we are also starting to see pro work showcasing the camera

Panasonic and Olympus are making a killing everywhere in the world and the only resistance to it is in the US where we still think bigger is better. Olympus' next camera which I wet myself thinking about, the OMD EM-5 is insane and comparable to any aps-c based camera in all aspects, dynamic range, noise, resolution, sensitivity. Over on dpreview there are lots of converts showing up, stories of people that have long been faithful to their brand selling off all their Canon and Nikon equipment to get into the Micro scene. The thing shoots 9fps, has the fastest auto focus system in the world when used with Micro lens', built in anti dust wave filter, worlds only 5 axis in body mechanical image stabilization for photos 'and' video, built in EVF @120hz, the list just goes on. Couple that with the ability to use some of the world sharpest and best lens' ever made from the past to present in addition to adapters for all other mounts and a magnesium alloy weather proof body ... for only $1k??? Seriously the future is here and it's Micro, even I would have to buy into the new system though luckily for me I own lens' from the 4/3 line so I am directly compatible with an adapter.
These are all great and everything but you have to use a very fast lens to get good low light performance out of a smaller sensor. (With todays sensors) I know they have better ones on the way... but yeah right now pickings are slim for micro 4/3ds

Indeed which is why I posted this, NOKTON 25mm F0.95

With a sensor matching aps-c feature for feature plus lens' in the f/.95 class your set for night photography in a way other systems currently don't match. As for slim pickings of lens' that would just be incorrect. Since you can use any 4/3 lens on a micro system with a simple adapter and still get full function the total lens' available is huge. As for bodies yes there are really only 2 players in the game.

@ BPacak love the water it's a great effect. But it almost looks like the bridge is out of focus did some wind shake the camera on you? Hate when that happens really because I love the silky water effect myself. The gravestones have some great coloring to them also. Good job.

Most likely just the optics, the bridge is in the corner which would typically make it softer than the remaining parts of the image. In addition, to get the depth of field shown a higher f number would be used which would lead into diffraction causing even more softness.

ah! Yes that's right it could be it I've had that happen to me before as well.

I think I am going to do some street photography around Union Sq Park today. I'm here and with my camera after all .

I wish I had that 28mm sigma my friend gave me though, I should have brought it.

Oh well. No biggie, next time.

Has anyone done light painting photography. I think I might try it with the new camera if I can do it.

The only thing you can do is keep it within the margin of error that you experience the softness then crop down Stopping down minimizes the effect but it starts to include diffraction so that method is a give and take.

So basically fill the viewfinder with a larger area than needed then crop.
