Hey guys I want your opinions on this.
I have a basic canon t3, been using it and a 50mm 1.8 exclusively for almost a year straight. Today I picked up my first ultra wide angle 10-18 from canon. Will take some getting used to how dark it is compared to the 1.8 but I'm excited to learn about it!
A local 70d has been listed for $600cad and is in perfect shape, went to look at it tonight. Am really considering it as next summer I want to start taking videos and revive my 2k sub YouTube a account. I made a small name for myself in the local car meet scene for photos-- nothing crazy and I'm not making any money off anything it's still just a fun hobby that's stuck with me for a few years now.
Wondering what you guys think of that upgrade? T3 to the 70d and if it would really be worth my while if I'm not making any money/not printing my shots and really only uploading them to Instagram/Facebook/ YouTube. I'm

the pros and cons.
idk if its worth it to jump from a crop to crop. but there are advantages to getting upgraded body, better features and what not
photos are pretty nice, will look better on flickr and what aperture is the wide? 2.8/f

That's my conundrum. My buddy said the 70d would be an upgrade but the difference for my photos would be very minimal vs getting a nice 24-70 2.8.
I'm pretty sure all those were shot @ 1.8, I'm not sure what that equates to on a ff.
They were also shot in jpeg, I know I know. I completely forgot about raw shooting this summer, didn't really study any photography just got out and got some more experience ! Second time I was told to make a flickr maybe I should get on that haha.

the lenses with apertures 1.8/2.8 have better glass i noticed, so they capture what you're shooting
better than the stock lens which does fine just not awesome hahaha
i wanna go full frame at one point, i love that the images at night shot at like 1000iso or something high dont come out super noisy

I'm being trolled by a $489 refurbished D7100 right now. I have the D7000 but the D7100 is of course a decent improvement on the sensor. I could sell the D7000 and the kit lens okay.
Then again I kinda want full frame one day too.

Lol I'm still being trolled by that 70d for $600. It's in the back of my head that I want full frame and they're only gonna get cheaper-- I'd like a 6d for starters
Tried out my new 10-18 last night a bit more
Not the greatest picture, the spikes are distorted also but definitely shows the focal length

Autofocus is really great. I have only one lens that doesn't autofocus and that's my Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 but I usually only use that on the FM2n though I have stuck it on the D7K and it's great really. Good for close up just takes a little while to get the focus just right.
Reddit doesn't know it's ass from it's elbow. It's not a terrible photo at all. The Canon 10-18mm is very good and has great IS. My girlfriend has it and she can handhold it down pretty low to like 1/15 or so. The background really is good as DSmastery says. Worst comes to worst just a tripod and a remote shutter and you can nail up everything else.

I have to sell my 18-105mm since I bought the 18-200mm. I'm keeping my 70-300mm for now because it's an FX lens

New Film Photos = shot all the same afternoon at Union Sq in NYC
I call this one "Chess Playah" since the man on the left would stand there shouting, "I need a chess playah. Anyone? Chess playah?" He won all five matches that day - and I don't doubt him either, those guys are good.
Hare Krishna singers - they sit there all day singing what's on that board there. Kind of annoying actually.
The man ont he steps is fuming because he got into it with someone else and that person pushed him down onto the ground and was cursing him out big time. I'm a bit surprised he didn't take a swing at the guy but it looked like they knew each other - like they had acquaintences before.
It was a beautiful day and there were a lot of photographers out that afternoon including this one who got down low for every one of her shots.
This dancer / ballerina was doing a photoshoot of her own with a friend. I don't think those photos came out too well though, the friend doing the shooting wasn't getting great angles. I got a better one here with a 50mm prime than I think she got with her zoom.
Don't do heroin kiddies!
This photo is a whole different story. The Feather King on the garbage can isn't friendly so I kept my distance. The woman in front of him looks like she's worshipping him but she isn't, it's just great angling on my part. The goth vampire guy was with her and looking on but the best is the blurry Asian in the background with the "WTF" look on his face.
This is the best photo of the entire set. He'd walk around holding that big sign over his head shouting "Free Hugs" and they were really free. If you wanted a photo a small donation was required so I asked him what it was. He posed perfectly and it was the best dollar I've spent to date.
