Yeah once I get a wider angle lens if id like to get a nice cityscape shot. I'd like to try and get a shot on the space center with an arc over the VAB, but they get all funny about non essential personal during launches.

I tried - many times - to get tickets to go to a shuttle launch from the causeway but they sold out in about 15 seconds

I actually goofed on it and post processing saved me. I tend to try to over expose a little because i can always fix it. I had my iso set higher than normal for some test shots and forgot to lower it for the launch so it was super overexposed. I want to say it was a 80sec+ exposure @f8 , i(probably could have stepped down allot. ) iso 800.
The hardest this is you have to get it right the first time because your second change could be months away and the conditions will be different. Trying to estimate the exposure is the hardest part.
