I have already looked. All ratios are programmable in hpt. And as shown in my pics both transmissions used external range switches and have the same switch logic.

They also used the T42 in 4l60 and 4l80 applications, which are popular with the LS V8 guys, so HPT has a lot of support for it.

Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread:

Got this response so far. Are there others?

got any pics of the engine in the chassis? maybe we can suggest something.

i know how you feel, i went through the wringer with the intake manifold for my 944 swap. i ended up modding an lnf intake to fit the l61. nothing else off the shelf would fit, and i dont even see how i could build one to work better, just too much in the way.

I don't have the chassis built yet, am in the planning stages. I really want to sit next to the engine and the intake gets all in the way of that. I need to get the intake closer and either higher or lower, one or the other. Later this week I'll try to snap some pics of how I am laying it out if i can get organized enough.

what id recommend then is to build your own intake where the plenum is above the valve cover. would allow you to get some long runners to help with low end torque.

That makes the chassis wider and this is already going to be a fairly wide chassis for a single seater. It is an option I haven't completely ruled out yet though.

That's one of the ideas I have had as well. How much do long runners matter on a force induced engine though? The general consensus I've read in my limited research so far indicates not much ...

forgot you were turboing it. longer runners would help a bit with mid throttle out of boost performance, however runner length wont be too big a concern

more than likely fits a 2002-2005 2.2l l61 cable throttle body thats found in the cavalier or sunfire.

if you want something to fit the electronic throttle body you could get a throttle body spacer and use that.

I know this is asking for a unicorn, but does anyone have a complete CAD model of an Ecotec engine and / or trans? I have all the dimensions drawings of the front, sides, and back of the block as well as the intake and exhaust manifold flanges. Nothing 3d though.

It appears that the 4t65 will interfere with the le5 oil cooler. Is there an oil cooler elimination kit or something?

Relocating the entire oil filter would be convenient for my custom intake as well. I found this:

CBM MOTORSPORTS ECOTEC STYLE BILLET REMOTE OIL COOLER ADAPTER

Also seen this pic:

It appears to bolt in place of the stock cooler but leaves the filter in its current locale. As best I cna tell it is an Ariel Atom part, next to impossible and very expensive to source?

Any other options out there that I don't know of?
