Did u get that virtual dyno thing i told u about yet ? Its fun to play around with and beats going to the dyno all the time.
No worries boss.. appreciate it. I know John (tuner) is throwing on a nice new goodie on his car and plans to dyno in the fall. I'll probably join him that day and perhaps we can fool around on the dyno with AFR and couple other things and I can see what responds best for my setup. Maybe I'll get a cool graph like 100% meth did with some info for others to educate/compare it too.

And no I don't have virtual dyno... because I don't have HPT lol. I actually was tossing the idea of getting one, but of course I have a mac computer (actually two at that... my luck lol) and its not compatible unless I run windows through it, which I don't really wanna do.

Just keep an eye out for KR. I keep my warning lights on my interceptor set for KR. If those little red lights were ever to light up, off the throttle I go.
Good stuff.

On pump gas I was running 11.8 AFR.

I also have my interceptor set up to throw on warning lights for knock.

I mostly monitor IAT2 temps and knock on the interceptor. I love that little thing. One of the best pieces of equipment I have.

well i just found out my hg was all f'ed up and oil was leaking out from cyl 4 and coolant was going into cyl 1. Hopefully the new hg and head keeps it running smoothly .... also the head ports are not much of a port at all should of measured them a long time ago ... ohh well.

Damn that's some bad luck. Didn't you get the ported head from josh (lsjion)?? I always heard he does top notch stuff.

I'm surprised and honestly I'd be pretty pissed. You should reach out to josh about it. He was my go to guy for a ported head if I ever decided to move forward with it.

You'd be surprised what a little clean up of the rough castings on the exhaust side can still do for ya. Sucks it wasn't a full port job though.

I'm sure you'll see some nice gains considering the head is a weak point, especially with higher power level LSJs. Sucks it's not fully ported though.

Those ports look better than just a clean up.

Not an aggressive port job by any means, but it should still benefit you well.

mine wasn't too agressive either. and honestly, whether it is really worth it or not, i should have gotten the intake side cleaned up, exhaust ported further than it was, and also a 5 angle valve job.

(ps sorry for joining thread jack lol)

In the cobalt world:

I pull about 1-2 cars on an hptuned tuned LNF (think he was running an aftermarket intake as well)

I am dead even with a more aggressively tuned LNF - fully bolted, catless and hptuned LNF running 23-24 PSI.

I'd like to run a pump gas TVS LSJ. I think that would be a good match.

My last tune revision is a bit more aggressive now. Running 27 degrees timing peak with 12.2-12.4 AFR WOT on E85. I suspect I'm around 295-300whp... plan to dyno in the fall.
Well i will tell you what you may have a chance against a pump tvs for a while because going from my 300whp m62 to 380 whp tvs setup i gained 10 ft lbs haha.

And judging your mods and vid i would say you are right in the 300 wheel club.

keep em coming

Rice- Did you get that ported from Josh (LSJion)???

I am certainly interested in a ported head and valve springs (possible with some cams) even on my current setup. Would be kinda cool to be in the 315-320whp ish range on an M62 (ported) setup. I would be #1 spot on the dyno thread lmao.

All joking aside, I like efficiency and that would help tremendously with my setup. I would like to rev to 7.5k + RPM safely too 8) ... those blown LSJs (yes you rice, james, and staged) sound like dam banshees outta hell above 7K

Haha. well mind you i made my 301 whp with the head, cams, springs and E85 on a ported m62 on a 2.6" AND ported mani. Lol. That said hockeyman made close to 315 on the same effing setup except moar fueling (which was my limiting factor)

Oh and yes i got it from Josh. Mind you, he does do great work. And also, i should add i didn't truly compare it to my other head to see what/how much was actually ported. He said he would do me well for my m62/future tvs setup so who knows. Really a little goes a long way with porting so to the naked eye might not look like much but in the real world was all i needed.

new video i made today... #3wheelin'

I need new tires... i want summer only, performance and comfort/road noise are most important for me. You guys run the nittos?

In the spring I'm jumping up to 235/40s and dropping the front and rear another 1/2" or so ... pretty sure i got space down there lol.
