08+ C6. I'd like to find one boosted but if not would need to take out another 10k on top of it to boost it. Can't go from a faster cobalt to a slower vette lol

Well update, autobody shop found another $2800 in damage. So that brings it to $7800. Now they want to write it off. Book value on the car is $7200. They want me to provide reciepts to up the value of the car. So I'll submit what I can find over the last 5 years. If still no go I guess I buy it back for $1600, strip it and move on.

Hopefully you saved some of the expensive ones. Im sure you can get order confirmations from whatever vendor you bought your parts from.

Well one way or another I'm getting the car back fixed or buying it back. I may even fix it then. I just started a damn retro build for it! Haha.

Insurance fucked up and was supposed to put the claim as marginal. But they didn't and the autobody shop ordered all the parts for the car. So now they have a bunch of parts laying around that they want to get rid of and I have a car that I want to fix. So they told me they are willing to work with insurance to fix the car. Time will tell.

Without trying too hard I have enough money in receipts to buy another Cobalt SS lol. If this doesn't work, nothing will.

Deer wouldn't fit in the trunk lol. Conservation is pretty fast at getting that stuff. I went back in the morning and it was gone.

I'm gonna burn all insurance buildings to the ground I swear lol.

Talk to a guy this morning, says all looks good as long as Fort rouge (where it's getting repaired) is solid on their cost, I call Fort rouge and tell them this. They call insurance back. Insurance says no it's still in limbo and for me to send more receipts if I have them to the car and to call them. I call them, they say no more receipts are needed, it's repairable as long as Fort rouge is solid on their repair price which they have been the whole time. Such a run around!

But at the end of all this Bluelightning is getting fixed!

Gonna give her a welcome home gift when she's back in the garage. Retro headlights and an s257fmw turbo from OTTP

Nah I got a long winter ahead of me to put it in. The shop said it won't be back in my hands till the end of the month by time they get parts. So it'll be from the shop to the garage. Possibly stop in at the dyno along the way lol.

Awesome news man!! I don't know what I'd do if an insurance company tried to write my car off.

So much blood sweat and tears put into these cars.

Ya man when they told me they wanted to write it off my stomach just dropped. As much as I'd love to get a new whip it just isn't in the cards quite yet. Because if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it right. Aka I refuse to drive an N/A Vette lol.

That was the thing I kept arguing with insurance! Oh book value on your car is $6700. No... You don't understand, this isn't your typical cobalt. The amount of time and money I have invested in to this thing is priceless. Thats why I made this and put it on my Instagram lol.
