Hey guys, I just registered because I have been reading your forums for over 6 months now and love what some of you have done to your cobalts. I especially love that orange color. I traded in an orange cavalier for a a cobalt SS (2.4L) with the $300 Sport red color. I am getting ready to start adding some mods and stuff to the car and I want to start with a set like these: http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?ProdId=21741
I have a question though, if I go from the stock 17's to the 18's do I need to do anything else to the car other then getting locking lug nuts?
And to be honest, I really like these rims right here: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...oto=nextnewest

My piece of advice: make sure the tires that you get for new wheels are about the same overall diameter as your old ones (here's a helpful site: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos ) unless you want to have your speedometer reading a little off or want to go to a dealership and have them change it in your car's computer.
Congrats on the car, and happy modding!!

Here are a few more shots of the SS
And I haven't even had a chance to clay it or give it a good wax job yet this year and it still looks great. There will be many more pictures this year.

Damn your car and rims have kept quite the shine. My rims look like **** now from brake dust and this past winter. My next set of brakes will have to be somethign that doesn't make so much dust. I don't want the new set of rims lookin like ****. Is there anything out there that I can use to get the brake dust off my rims so they shine again?

nutsandboldts05: I guess it all depends on how dirty your wheels are. You may be able to just wax them or use a Mother's Chrome polish. Otherwise you could try the Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish, but i'm not sure if that will scratch your wheels.
