Scythe_Snake's Winter Changes 2014!
Howdy CobaltSS.net,
Been a while since I posted, so I decided to give the reveals and some 'soon to come' things that have changed up the snobalt this year!
For those of you following me on instagram (whitebaltSS09) and my few and far between Facebook friends have seen and know what's coming, but also going to toss in a teaser or two.
Disclaimer: Some of you may not like it. But that's okay. =)
So this past year I decided that I absolutely hated my OZ Allegerritas and needed to get rid of the *******. They were light weight yes (18lbs), but they only looked good from the side profile, and the tires were running on 3 years old (Nitto Invos). I was happy for them at a time, but I needed something more. So my second favorite wheel is the Enkei NT03+M (1st is the SSR Professor SP3 ) and as far as I know no other delta has it, since 1) it doesn't come in our bolt pattern, and 2) they tend to be a bit too wide for most. So I said, FUGGIT! And sold my old wheels and tires to another member on here around Black Friday, and immediately picked up these babies:
Enkei NT03+M's, f1 silver in 18 x 9.5 +40 in 5 x 114.3
And before anyone asks about the two valve stem openings: Enkei Wheels - Racing Series Wheels - NT03+M
Extremely excited about this! But this means I would have to get around to getting a hub swap amongst other things, and I wasn't very thrilled about the color. But I told myself NO MORE BLACK. Black hides things in pictures, is way too common, and looks boring to me now. So getting powder to these wheels was also a must! AND I decided that I hated the seats in my car as well. I didn't like how they looked, sat, felt, or any of that. So that was another thing I decided to change.
So then the new year came and went, and this lovely CUSTOM piece was finished for me:
New molded dash piece made specifically for me. Some may know who made it, but I'm not going to put it out there as I don't think the creator wants a bunch of people messaging him about making one as, well, honestly, 75% of people won't pay the price for it. Its not cheap at all.
BUT soon this will be going in with a special 'Scythe_Snake' touch to take it to that next level.
Obviously I needed some tires for it, and I don't much like to skimp out on ****. Its just my thing. So I drooped the cash and bought some Michelin Pilot Super Sports on all 4 corners:
And now I had everything all ready to go on the car!...too bad I was still 5 x 110
So I start saving my paper and start trying to decide on a color to powdercoat the wheels (f1 sivler wasn't going to cut it!)......and eventually I settle right here:
Candy Apple Red:
Haven't seen another summit white car with the scheme, and thanks from some prodding by some good friends (The Elitists...you know who you are ) I settled and just did it. Loved them.
I'm sure most of you know we had a rough winter and I didn't even think about the car for a bit, and kept stacking the paper. Then it got...less cold and I got the hub swap done by another local member with my extended ARP Studs that i had purchased some time ago.
These pic made me decide to drop it some more!
Then I decide I don't like my retrofits anymore. They're okay....but lots of problems. So I let them go for a steal to get some kdub custom ones! Pics of those later!
So we're 5 x 114.3 now! Sweet ****! Wheels and tires need to mounted and balanced now!
Loved the fitment of them not even on the car!
And the first test fit!
Looks amazing! But...I need some spacers as it rests on the brembos. So I borrowed 5, 5mm spacers from my buddy with a g35. 10mm was a perfect but just barely rubbed the brembo, 15 was too much for me....so I called up motorsport tech and got custom 12.5mm spacers up front!
This turned out to be beyond perfect! Cleared the caliper just enough!

Around the same time my new seats came in! Well, one of them:
Corbeau FX1 Pros. LOVE these seats. So much better than the forza's or LG1s imo:
But I realized a bit too late, when I sold my seats that I sold the sliders as well....****!
Oh well, mounted them up to see how they fit before I bought sliders later that night:
And ordered the sliders :
Oh....and of course me and the ZZP team keep in close contact. So in prep for the Chicago Half Mile....I may have ordered this for my F40 (come on, I always have to add a bit of performance!!!):
In the next upcoming month LOTS more performance stuff as ZZP preps to bring 4 cars to the Chicago Half Mile!
Then here comes Josh (Blazin07) suggesting that I sell my black LED tails for the red tinted LED tails as it would flow, look more clean, and match the wheels. So...I did. DAMNIT Josh!
And my good friend who helped me all the way through this named Micke (Mikecoolguy88 i think is his SN name here) hooked me up with some resistors so I wouldn't have the fast blink anymore. Without him the car wouldn't be together like it is this year. He came through so much! Huge shout out to him! In fact he is coming over tonight since the 2nd seat just came in and we're gunna put it in.
Finally it was time to put the car on the ground after almost 6 months! But I knew I would have to get my fenders rolled. So I enlisted a local's help to do the fronts mostly, since the back wheels slid on and fit well. I'm NOT happy with his job. Paint chipped and cracked all over. In pics it looks jagged, but its the paint that is making it look like that. So, I'm going to take it elsewhere and get it done right, along with the rears as well. But it was just to be able to get the car up and running (big meet the next day and I wanted to drive!!!)
But VERY happy how the car sits!
But still no headlights....until kdub (Kyle White) came through and finished my brand new Retros! Hooking me up with more uniqueness. Being the only cobalt with these shrouds so far! (you can see them in the pic above)
Dat iron man doh!
Finally, it was time to breathe life back into her 6 month hibernation! So my buddy in his soon to be vortech SC'ed S2K (happening right now) did just that!

And finally here is the reveal of her as she sits right now! Thanks for reading and looking all:
Here is the new team i got a personal invite to be apart of this summer! Project X!!! Very serious cars in this group and they feel I fit right in and are especially impressed with ZZP's work in they've done with the car! Reppin!
Me and my buddy Hector's Turbo Z!
Project X (guess who has the most whp! ):
So these wheels can be difficult to really capture due to them being candy. They end up looking maroon in pics. But with an HD camera you can tell:
This is mikecoolguy88's car. ZFR, e85, f40 etc! he has my old tailights and a full suspension. one of the big boys for sure!
Shows of the Hood pretty well:
Thanks for looking and reading everyone! Lots of updates soon!

Thanks a ton bro! I'm honored.
Of course. I don't half ass anything. Thanks man.
<3
Thanks bro!
Means alot man! the car is being built with total, complete balance in mind. I appreciate your words.
Yeah I wanted something different, noticable, yet still pulled off that 'cleanliness never goes out of style' look. Thanks for your words man!
Thanks bro!
College student, working at a local petsmart and a local zoo. I work with animals not making much at all.
But thank you.
Thanks!
I was unsure at first but the red just stuck and I went with it. Thanks a ton bro!
<3 One day soon once I fix a few things up and get totally satisfied with it. (is that ever for any of us? lol)
