It's a 2008 Sport 2.4L with auto trans. The humming starts around 80 kmh at the drivers front area. I figured the obvious and changed the front driver hub. When doing this I noticed the driver side hub to have some bumping in it when spinning it in reverse with transmission in neutral with old hub installed and new hub installed. I did a similar test with the passenger front didn't feel the same. If I grab the axle where it goes into the transmission on the drivers side I can move it in and out but also side to side like it is sloppy. I tried the same to the passenger side and it doesn't seem to have the same movement. I believe this is where my problems are but am unsure. I have removed the front tire and swapped with the back and the noise is still there. Any thoughts/ideas/input would be great.

If you can move the axle side to side in the transmission, you've got a bad bearing somewhere
