2010 cobalt ss starting problems
so i just bought my cobalt about 2 months ago with 14k miles on it. shortly after i bought it i was driving in town and i went into a store and when i came back out it just kept turning over and wouldnt start then when it did start it would bog down and almost die unless i hit the gas. i took it in to the dealership and they said there was nothing they could do since i didnt throw any codes which i think is crap. It only does it when the car is hot like if it gets parked out in the sun for awhile does anyone else have this same kind of problem its starting to cool down here so it hasnt done it in awhile but id like to get some info on what may be causing it so i can take it in and get it fixed while i still have it under warranty.

You need to start issuing death threats to the dealer. The car is not working and its up to them to fix. If your suspension was acting up there would be "No Codes Thrown" so they would have to look at it. They need to get off they ass and do their job.

One could cause the problem-
1.fuel tank empty
2.battery connection loose or corroded, especially ground
3.air filter clogged
4.fuel not reaching injectors. check fuel pump (listen). pressure regulator.
5.worn, faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs
6.broken, loose wires at coil(s) or faulty coil(s)
7.intake air leak
