I jus took my 05 ss/sc out from winter hibernation and second gear is grinding 9 times out of ten. It grinds when the clutch is disengaged and during engagment. The noice is drivin me nutz, twists at my insides. I know somethin is fucked. im jus worried warranty wont cover it. They come up with an abuse story. Second is the only gear that does this. Im thinkin its synchros, but not sure. Think its covered under warrarnty? Does anyone else ave this problem? And yes my clutch is fine. Thanx in advance for any tips.

Only thing you can do is take it in to the dealer, unless you know tranny's yourself. I doubt they will say abuse. After what Dan told me about his dealer and his Redline, I think you can fight anything.

If they do give an excuse, ask them if they can prove it cause you know your rights. But it shouldn't go that far, just gotta push back at them a bit.

EDIT: I take that back because I didn't notice your Canadian. I don't know the laws up there :/
