I have had the best luck with some of the cheapest, I like Anco, they are usually 4 bucks at Wal-Mart. Rain-x blades are good, for about a month, they wear out so fast it is ridiculous. I've tried just about every brand over the years, including some really expensive piaa's. The more expensive they are, the softer they usually are, which means they will wear out faster (winter will eat them up in a second with icey windows and freezing cold). I think it is a waste of money. I recommend Anco or Delco, the Delcos will cost about 10 bucks more.

Also, since "performance" blades cost 2 to 4 times cheap ones, for the same money, with the cheap ones, I can have a fresh blade 2 to 4 times as often. What makes the rubber in a blade die is grit and UV. There is no way to get a wiper that survives grit and UV no matter how much you pay. Best to change out frequently, which is easier if the blades are cheap.
I like the Anco wipers too. I paid 5.70 for the longer one and 6.84 for the shorter one at amazon with free shipping (part of a larger order, but shipped separately). Perfect fit (full contact with the windshield for the entire length of the blade).

I had crap experience with the Rain-X wipers on my last Cobalt... they didn't fit very well and streaked like nobody's business.
The best contour blades I've used where Anco Teflon countour blades. They lasted up to a summer in Corpus with alot of sand and a summer in Austin with alot of dust. Both very high UV locations. They never streaked in two years.

Bosch Icon
Trico Neoform
I've had 2 sets of the Bosch. DSM and this Cobalt.
They have lasted over 3 years on the DSM, and lasted 2 years on the Cobalt.
I just switched to the Neoform in December, and they're doing great so far.

I tried a rain-x blade on the driver's side once, and it was a big waste of money. It always left about a 3-4 inch gap where it wouldn't wipe in the middle of the blade. Also, during heavy rain, it wouldn't throw the water off of the windshield... on the back stroke, it would pull the water back across the windshield.
After about 8 months, I couldn't take it anymore, so I changed out the blades. I put an ANCO replacement blade (costs just a couple of bucks for a pack of two) into the driver's side OEM wiper. I also figured that there is the possibility that I could have gotten a bad rain-x blade, so I decided to give them a second chance by putting a rain-x blade on the passenger side. After 6 months, the rain-x blade was absolute **** (this was in winter weather) and the ANCO blade in the stock wiper was still perfect.
The only benefit of the rain-x blade is that they don't freeze up like the OEM wipers occasionally do.

My input. I just got the Bosch Evolution All-Season Bracketless Wiper Blade and they are plain awesome. Very quiet and shouldn't get any ice build up.

Yeah. Don't use the Rain-X. I got em for my cobalt, they worked good for 1 day. Then the next time it rained it streaked and chattered only on the drivers side. The passenger side ain't that bad. The rain-x wipers worked good on my old DSM. Going to go with the ICONs next time

I got these about a year ago when Amazon had them on a BOGO sale. 5 year warranty, and so far they're as quiet and streak-less as the day I got them. Granted, we don't get a ton of rain, but the summers here destroy rubber blades.
