um that's an oil pressure error. I would get that to the dealer ASAP and stop driving it. If it's not getting adequate oil pressure you will fudge the motor up.

It will run fine for a few then the oil pump will just go and then your fucked so next time you drive it take it to the dealer before the oil pump stops working if thats the case

O well if the dealer wont like that. I would like to see how the dealer would prove those parts caused your oil pump to go bad You definantly need to take it in.

Stop making excuses. That's what you are doing right now. Your engine is in danger, stop driving it. It will run just fine with no oil for quite a while until it tears itself apart. Go get it checked, under warranty, right now.

It's cool, you weren't offending me! I was making a point, and it worked. Yes, your warranty regarding your oil pump at least is perfectly fine.

Thats not a low oil pressure code, its a code for a bad oil pressure switch. Low oil pressure will not set P0520.

Its either a bad switch or the wiring to the switch. The test that sets that light only runs when the key is on and the engine is off. If you actually have low oil pressure, the body control module will set a low oil pressure light on the dash.

Basically, that switch should be closed when the engine is not running, and open when it is running with good oil pressure. When you turn the key on but before the engine starts, the switch is reporting open, which sets p0520.

If the switch is broken, you won't know if you have low oil pressure however until its too late.

In which case, still take it in. You will get a new switch, again under warranty, with no problems.

The guys there have always been really cool to me. Thats where I bought mine from.
They gave me a little bit of a hard time for installing my own stage two, but all I had to do was sound like I knew what I was talking about and they backed off.

Good luck though!

No! Don't do that. Then your ECM will no longer recieve oil pressure information and you will have a constant CEL. Just get that replaced normally and leave it alone.

Install your sender into any other of the MANY galley plugs that are all over this engine. There are lots. There is no reason to remove a necessary stock part for this.

P0520 doesn't set a check engine light. He had to have pulled the code from a scan tool. Its a non emissions related fault. Thats why many people use the stock sending unit location without having a light come on when its disconnected.

the LSJ block does not have all the plugs and oil ports like the 2.2s and the 2.4s doo and no I wont its an open close swtich whitch is either open when theres pressure or more than likely close when theres pressure it proboly just kicks closed at like 10PSI or some relaly low number and in that case I just either wire nut them together or keep them separte and I wont get a code from it, if the actually engine read pressure it would be based off of ohms more than likely, but its not is a closed open swtich thats activated by pressure when its drops to low it either opens or closes witch would through the oil pressure light,

and you dont need the swtich if your going to actually monitor it with a gauge

and really the guys on reisterstown road are kool? I figured they would bel ike every other dealership, Ill have to remember that

aiesnt the stocker sender a open close that kicks in at a relaly low psi reading?

Really? Interesting. Still seems easy enough to leave it alone however and just tap a different location. But if it's OK, then great.

Well, I wouldnt roll in their and start rattling off mods. But they are alright guys. Never gave me problems with bolt ons, and dont think they take notice of small things.
If you want to be more confident, stick on a bigger pulley, but I dont think they will pay that close of attention.
