how does it look?
Well im thinking im getting some problems with my stock bpv such as really bouncy afrs and what i would say flutter sounds. I might be wrong well I took it out to check it and that's how it looks. Well I noticed some marks on the bpv it self and one where it goes (blue dot) so im thinking it has been serviced before. What can I check to see if its bad other than to see tears ( didnt see any) could the spring be bad? Any help would be really appreciated thanks. Posting pics in a few minutes

Also, make sure to check that your Evap purge valve on the intake manifold is still good with the blow test. Matter of fact, replace it anyway. The purge valve may be bad and not set a code yet.

I just ordered a new bpv.. Sounds like mine is sticking open. Major boost leak. I've replaced the couplers and upper charge pipe so I don't know where else to go.. Sound like what I'm saying could be true with the BPV sticking? 08 with 50k miles

I havent noticed a boost leak on mine. But most of the time while driving normal it give me a sound that im calling flutter. For me it sounds like when you hit a small puddle with the tire. And for sure my afr go from lean to rich when that happens. I already cleaned the throttle body checked both upper and lower pipes checked the bpv and purge solenoid everything seems to be working properly im running out of ideas. Unless its my tune it started to happen since I got it

I took a vid of my car doing the sound im trying to explain and ran into a video and my car is doing the same thing just not as often. Anyone was able to fix it? My car has 72k miles cobalt ss bad bpv - YouTube

is that doing it when u let off? that's ur bpv not opening. check hoses, and if they all good then its most definitely ur bpv solenoid no longer working. here is a good way to check for sure. pull the line off the intake manifold and hook ur bpv line directly to intake manifold, if ur bpv solenoid works after that, replace the solinoid cause its not opening to open the bpv

connect the bpv to the one that says to left vac tank post. the only vac line connector on the intake. just unplug the one that is connected there and plug the bpv line there instead. don't worry about anything else and go for a drive and see how it sounds.

Ok well I did what you told me. I checked all the lines as far as I could see and they looked fine the symptoms seemed to have gone away at one point it seem like it wanted to do the sounds but I didnt sound like that it was pure air blow out. How long would it be ok for me to drive it in that set up? I wanna test it out at night or in the early morning since thats when it happens the most

Sounds like it is a bad solinoid. It's ok to drive like that for few days. Once u decide ur bpv is definitely working just hook everything back up the way it should be, order a new bpv solinoid , deal with the flutter till it comes and replace and ur golden

Yeah I felt a difference right away lol and yeah no flutter im still thinking of just getting both the forge bpv and the solenoid to avoid any more problems. Also have been thinking of replacing all the lines connected to the solenoid where could I find them?

A forge would give u more issues cause it needs greasing every now and then. But it sounds better. The lines can be bought at pretty much any automotive place or hardware store, ask for vacuum line. Just get the right size. I don't think ud have to replace them though. Just get the new bpv solinoid and call it a day.

Yeah I have heard that they need more maintenance. But atleast I would know thats the problem. For now ill get thw solenoid it the problem persists ill get the bpv. Also whats the best place to get a forge at modernperformance or forgemotorsport?

Well gmpartsdirect has it cheaper but I thought it was hassel with them plus it takes to long for them to process it, says it can take up to a week and they have no returns or cancel of order. So I just ordered it from CED paid an extra 10 bucks with them but seem better.
