intermediate shaft keeps breaking????
Any ideas why my steering intermediate shaft keeps breaking? I have replaced:
Intermediate shaft 3 times with the upgraded doorman product
Steering rack-it seemed to actually be broke aswell would get stuck just off center struts-oem bearings spun freely and were relatively clean mounts were in good shape
Sway bar endlinks-moog
Sway bar bushings-oem
Tcab-oem lcab looks fine
Inner/outter tie rods were changed with steering rack
Ball joints are original but pass every test I can put them through
Only things I can think of are power steering failure and strut bearings being bad. Ps light has never come on but ive always believed the effort to be a little heavy but I haven't driven another balt lately to compare. Bearings spun well in my hand with no obvious grinding or hitches.
Only idea I have at this point is to throw more money at it and get a whole column off of ebay and switch everything out, do moog ball joints and new strut bearings even though each part seems fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Its not literally breaking I haven't let it get to that point. Ill get some pics of it when I take it out hopefully tomorrow. What happens is the u joints end up separating from the knuckles. Last one I had you could see that the c shaped knuckle was bent so far out the u joint was about to fall out and and the bearing itself looked like it was leaking oil and trying to separate from the rest if the joint. If you turn the wheel left no matter how far as soon as you come back right it pops everyone has been the same way. Ill change it out symptoms go away and then boom about a thousand or two miles later it will pop usually at low speeds in a parking lot or something never noticed during normal driving

Next question are all ps motors the same?
Also if I buy a whole column off of the interwebz do I have to get one with the proper steering wheel controls or can I just switch out the steering wheel if necessary
