What could cause my plugs to do this???
I have a misfire on cylinder 4 and I have been trying to figure out whats going on. I am stumped. Not a coil and I tried new plugs.....I have only had my plugs in it for maybe 6000 miles. I changed them before to figure out the misfire. Now I pulled plugs out 3 and 4 and there was a brown ring around the porcelain. right where they connect to the metal part. Any ideas what could make them burn up there....

It drives fine I guess....all I have is a random misfire on 4 only....it def misfires because it turns my traction control off and my tranny shifts hard. I havent ran a compression test on it yet...gotta go fork out for a tester. not sure how to get it down into the spark plug hole down the valve cover.
I was told by a gm tech that the T/C turns off because of the misfire....no other codes though
