alright its giving me the code po449 .. EVAP soliniod .. i had a exaust leak fixed it cleared code came back on.. did the evap solinoid test where you pull it off and blow into it and its fine. why is my light still on? we have a computer at school that clears codes and it just keeps reappearing.. quite annoying if you ask me.

p0449 is for the EVAP CANISTER VENT SOLENOID... NOT The PURGE solenoid. The purge solenoid is under the hood. The canister solenoid is under the car, in the canister. It can be removed and serviced seperate from the canister, I dont know exactally how much it is but its only cheap. Check for power going to the solenoid first, the ECM toggles the ground to activate the solenoid so you will not see ground without using a scan tool to command the vent solenoid on.
