Sunroof won't close completely
I'm in Tahoe for the Tunerbash and my sunroof isn't closing completely. One side as it slides back down apperantly hits a small stop or lever and only one side collapses completely. Anyone know what I can do for a quick fix?

Mine did the exact same thing. I tried fixing it and it broke. Now, my sun roof won't fully open, but atleast it's closed. It'll lift back up but it won't slide back. Better try to park it somewhere so it won't get wet if it rains and take it somewhere to fix it. Mine is still broke...

That happened to me once. A small plastic piece broke off and fell into the sunroof track. One side closed and the other stayed slightly vented. Took a while to find it, and even more to remove it.

I just replace the track assemble in mine for the same reason... Cheap plastic pieces in the track assembly, you'll have to replace the whole track assembly to fix it. If it is under warranty then no biggie. Mine was not covered 75k miles, so I bought the track assembly for $130.00 and fixed it myself.

before you go blaming a broken sunroof track (which is most likely the case) check to see if you have anything jammed in the track causing it to stick...I've ran into that before at work

i found a small piece of what looks to be part of the track itself. i can see one of the tracks collapsing as the other one doesn't move. i will be taking it to our local chevy dealer tomorrow. its still under warranty i sure as hell hope i don't have to pay for anything.

i left it at the dealer this morning and they included changing my blinker bulbs through the warranty as well. so long as i didn't attempt to fix it myself or tamper with it either. im glad i took your advice about not touching it. i gave them the little piece that broke off as well so i hope they can identify the problem.
i'll give you guys a heads up as to what they explain to me when i pick it up this afternoon. the service guy told me they might have to order the parts, but lucky for me theres no rain in sight so i can wait for them.

Seems like all the sunroofs do that. There is a piece that is broken. Go ahead and take it in to get it replaced. They have to replace the whole sunroof and the sunroof has to be taken off the assembly line.(at least it did for me) and it took 2 weeks before I got my car back.

They had the parts in stock however they wanted me to leave it over night. I left it early this morning 7:30am and they had it done by 3pm Pacific which was awesome. They replaced the entire track and bezel too for me. Same day service is always excellent and beyond my expectations. I didn't have to pay anything either so I was pretty stoked about it. Now I just need to fix my driver side panel to make the car look new again.

ok i was driving to work this morning with the sunroof cover off to let some sun in, but the sunroof itself was closed and i can hear what appears to be rattling. its really annoying. im going to head back on friday because it sounds like they didn't fasten it properly. the sunroof opens and closes completely but i can't stand the rattle. it didn't happen before so of course im going to head back. i'll fill you guys in.

either the new sunroof is broke...happens...or they didn't tighten one or more of the 6 adjusting screws down....hopefully they weren't dumb enough to miss the 8 nuts holding the sunroof to the roof of the car lol
did you have them ziptie the draintubes to the rubber couplers like I told you? it may eventually leak if you don't....seen it one too many times

I am having the same problem as well right now, i just got it back form the dealer and they said it normal, i think its a load of crap. Also when you close the door you can see it jump up because of the compression. The guys at the dealer said they are all like that.
The squeaking and rattling is annoing the hell out of me, and the car has just over 5000K.
I think its just not seating properly. Are those 6 torx screws\bolts all that adjust the sunroof? Does any one know what the exact procedure for adjusting the sunroof is?
