How do you know fuel pump works?

Check for spark.

Will it run at all? Maybe start and die? Unplug the maf and try to start it

Check your crank position sensor, probably failed.

If you turn the key and release it, how long will the engine continue to turn over on it's own?

Does the RPM gauge move at all when cranking?

How do you check crank position sensor?
Starter turn for about 3 second,
Rpm hits about 200.
Thanks for running me through this!

take off the piece that covers your fuel rail. on that rail there is a spout that resembles a stem valve on your tire( the one you put air into). This is what you need to try, turn your key on and wait about 5-10 secs. Then turn your key off and go to that spout. with a flat head screwdriver stand with your face out of the line of fire and push in the stem inside the spout. This will tell you if there is pressure on your fuel line. No pressure means no gas being sent. AKA your fuel pump is either bad or has come unplugged. Mine came unplugged on my 06.

If your not throwin any codes its hard to pin point your issue. I had the same issue you had and it turned out to be my fuel pump. So I' suggest starting there first. Do what I said and mark that one off if it isn't the fuel pump move on to the fuse relay under the hood fuel pump fuse relay might have gone out also

If that's happening then it should be fine. Agree with the MAF testing as T-stone said, possibly it got wet.

Also, if the fuel canister broke like has happened on some of the early cars, you will hear the pump but have no pressure. Test it from the port on the rail as mentioned above, if you want to get an actual gauge it needs to read 58psi after the pump has run, but there should be a very solid spray of fuel if you just push in the schrader valve in the port.

Is there gas leaking under the car by chance?

Doesnt seem to be gas leaking, as for the pressure theres some build up but no a strong spray, but I dont have a fuel pressure tester to test it.
But havent got a spark from starting with the spark plug out...

Do the fuel pressure test a few times as the residual heats up it will cause thermal expansion in the line. Doing it a few times it will either have the same pressure or it won't

If your not getting spark it won't matter what you do with the MAF.. also what engine is it, you said 06 ss, so is it SC or NA ? You have fuel pressure so focus on the no spark issue

If you dont have spark you will be cranking for a long time and nothing will change. is there spark on any of the plugs or is it just one? hold the tips of the spark plug onto the engine case (or any metal surface) and have a buddy turn the car over. (make sure you are not touching the plugs themselves! you will know if you do)

Someone mentioned this earlier but did you check fuses? I looked at a wiring diagram at work today and it showed the injector fuse feeds batt+ to all the coils, not a bad idea to check them all though
