Best detailing out there

My buddy showed me this guy on one of the Nissan forums. He does some amazing detailing. Its ridiculous how much time he spends on em. Check it out.

He is in the Chicago land area. My buddy asked him how much he would charge for his 350z and the guy told him $325. Which is a little steep in my opinion. Although he does do a great job.

325 seems about normal for a job like that, I know someone that does it for a living does it for around 300. The before and after on the Z was incredible though!

IDK why people pay for detailing like that. You can buy the stuff to do a detail like that 9-10 times for around 100 dollars. Just takes time.

That Z was just a ridiculous difference though

Well if you add up the cost of the all the products this guy uses it adds up well over 200 doll hairs, not including a buffer. Not to mention some people dont know how to. I mean if you arent careful you'll burn the paint or put scratches into the clear coat cause you dont know how to use an abrasive compound. Just sayin

agreed it takes a lot of time and practice, its not only the money. Ya in the long run it would save you but you could do some serious damage if your not careful.

my compounds and pads alone were 150 bucks. not including the buffer which if you buy a mikita is like 225. but then again you can buff all your cars over and over again. Good thing to learn but not everyone has the time or the patience

Agreed for the good products and all the accesories to do a really good job you will spend that kind of money plus our time involved in doing it. I have done detailing for 18 years now and the newer products do make it more user friendly than some of the older stuff we started with. But a good job can take 4 plus hours (interior and exterior)depending how bad the vehicle is start with.
