GM Touch Up Pen A One Time Use?

Hey guys. Does anyone else have problems with the pen part on GM touch up paint bottles? It seems after I buy one, i'll pull the plastic thing out inside to allow me to use the pen which works great the first time. Then any time after that the damn pen doesn't seem to work. I can dab it till i'm red in the face and no paint comes out! I'm assuming it's because the paint dries and clogs the end? Is there a way to keep it from clogging or an easy way to unclog it and use it more than one time? It's getting extremely frustrating and I now almost have enough GM touch up bottles to paint my car lol.

Thanks

I haven't seen one to know for sure, but can you stick a sewing needle in the tip to open it up again? Works with super glue...

Ya I've tried to push the ball far in with a pin but it doesn't seem to get the paint to flow. I don't get it.

For larger stuff I do. But using the brush for rock chips in the hood (I drive a lot of highway) is extremely hard to do without making it look worse instead of better. With the pen you just dab it in the chip and it fills it perfectly.

at the shop we never use the pen we just use the brush lol, slightly wipe the excess off the brush by wiping it on the top of the bottle then use the tip of the brush and dap it on the rock chip. trust me you get better over time lol it took me like 15 cars to finally get the hands to be able to not shake as bad.

This has happened to me a couple times. I just go back to the dealership and show them it doesn't work and they order me a new one for free.

I don't have any dents haha. I just like to fix any small paint chips my car gets and find it's easier using the pen on small stuff. But I guess i'm gonna have to get used to using the brush
