(PHOTO)Cleaning up some SS/TC seats... Must See
So I picked up a full set of SS/TC seats. Only negative was that they were probably the blackest version of white possible...
Picked myself up a Suede Brush, Suede Cleaner, and Protectant.
Already did the bottom cushion. Gotta work at suede in little steps.
You can easily see the difference... Lots of work left to do.
Anyone use anything easy to get a hold of to stain/dye them black?

We'll for light cleaning with suede you should use a suede brush... Can find one at Walmart somewhere with the shoes.
Also for a little tougher stains you'll want to use a pencil eraser. Light-medium force. Then use the suede brush to clean the excess off and return the suede back to it's original look/feel.
If you have a TON of excess dirt as these seats did you'll want to use a brush with many soft plastic bristles. For this I will have to grab a picture to better explain. With this type of brush you can scrub VERY hard. You'll want to have a vacuum handy to suck the loosened dirt both off the seat and the brush.
Now... If you have STAIN's... You're pretty SOL. I have tried suede cleaner... It won't work. So next step coming up is Tuff Stuff with can be found at about 99% of Autozone's. Follow the instructions of the bottle to a T!!!
Do not try using water and do not try scrubbing while it's wet. This will rip up the suede kinda bad and will take lots of time with the suede brush to get to look normal again. I can't even recommend the spray and suck machines... But that might just be me. I've never seen suede react well to water. It's fiber/design just doesn't give much a furk about water.
Now... Best thing to do with suede is MAINTAIN IT!!! The suede brush should be done about once every week or two in order to keep the dirt/dust out of getting deeper into it.
The next best thing is to get a spray on protector that is suede friendly.
I am still looking into staining the suede.

Pic of the seats from awhile back... So they were about 5x worse at this point.
What I used to clean. Spray on thick and allow 40seconds to soak into the dirt. Then use light-medium force to scrub it. Use a dry towel to pull the dirt/stain up.
Seat cleaned... Still needs a tad more time to dry. Will take at least a day.

damn bratboy nice writeup!
generally my routine for cleaning the seats is soak in tuffstuff or even a different fabric cleaner thats ok with alacantara, then wiping quite lightly in one direction with a microfiber, then use the vacuum and sock that microfiber over it to see how much dirt gets onto the mirco. good way to gauge the progress while still pulling up the dirty solution, and also keeping the sharp vacuum hose off of the alacantara. i need a suede brush
