Pin stripe removal and debadged residue

My gf got her cobalt used, good deal and all, but the exterior has a few negatives. First is the owner before took off the little square GM badge on the car and you can see where the badge was, what can I use to remove that residue? I'm hoping its residue and not something with paint but you can see the outline of where the badge was.

Second the owner before hand must of not liked the pin stripe on the car so they tried removing it but did a half a$$ job with it and only did half way and one side! So I figured yank it all off since it looks like crap with how it is. How do you go about removing it? The car is a 08 and kept outside at all times, will there be any paint issues?

Goof off will loosen up the pin stripe as well. Take a credit card or something and gently remove it. Goof off will also remove residue. Wash/wax after. The pin stripe should just be vinyl if im not mistaken

Yea not positive if it in vinyl or not. You think there would be any paint differences? Recommend and wax? Still getting crappy winter weather here so any good hand wax you would recommend? Summer shell get the buffer and polisher out but that's big detail days.

This. Then wash it thoroughly, go over it lightly by hand with a polishing compound, then a good wax.

Ok for those that recommended the 3m, what would you recommend for pin stripe? Also what hand wax would you recommend? Like previously said weather still not best so I'm looking for good hand wax since I'm not going bring out buffer/polisher, that's summer job for me, but would like something good.

Ok so you think the pinstripe will come right off or I have to use the 3m on it then try pulling it off?

I never had problems using any type of goof off. Used it on my 2 cobalts. 3m is fine too. That's why I said wash and wax after. There might be a color difference though under the stripe
