I had a thread about my method not too long ago...
1) Take out power-washer and spray down car.
2) Get my two-buckets and hand-wash the car.
3) Spray down with power-washer.
4) Dry car with big ass waffle weave towels.
5) Detail Spray for all minor imperfections from wash.
If I'm going ***** to wall, step 5 is as follows...
5) Clay bar entire car.
6) Take out Porter Cable and M105/205 entire car.
7) Lay down a sealant to protect freshly cut/polished paint.

Yes chemical guys is good stuff. What are you looking for? I use a wide variety of products, really don't stick to a certain brand. I have however been extremely obsessed with Infinite Use Detail Juice for detail spray. The **** is AMAZING and it's a concentrate so you get a TON! I recommend it to EVERYONE

Oh and when it cones to polishing i been doing exactly what kyle is doing. But one panel a week right after i wash it its time consuming ive spent around two hours on the hood alone. Maybe im doing it wrong??? Takes like three to four passes of the 105 on the pad to take most of the warsh marks out

1. Pull it in the shop
2. Flip the switch on the wall mounted Hotsy pressure washer
3. Rinse with the ridiculously high pressure
4. Grab one of the long handled brushes and lather the heck out of it
5. See step 3
6. Water blade
7. Chamois
OR
1. Wait til the detail department gets slow and starts offering free carwashes <----- my favorite wash procedure
Working at a Chevy dealer with full service detail shop ftw.

anyone use rainX?
clay bared my winders last night along with a little bit of wax. rained just about all day today and it just beaded right off my windows. wondering if rainX would do a better job...?

is that a paste type wax?
when it comes to waxing,i have been using liquid glass. i would really like to try out some zano (sp?) my friend uses it and swears by it.
ive been using a super cheap california blade, but not an actual cali blade. i need to get one. i cant stand water spots!
im going to clay bar and wax my windows tonight. see if that does anything.

^x2 on the waxing of the winfield i'd consider a sealant perhaps but even then not sure why
i use rainx sometimes on the windshield, it really does seem to work, i can drive in the rain with no wipers if i want!
i've thought about simply wiping some on the car but not sure if the ammonia or w/e's in it as a cleaner could harm the wax/sealant layer on the paint. i def wanna use some of that stuff that helps to make the paint 'hydrophobic' to make all water just bead right off!

thats all i use lol ...except for tire shine, the meguiar's hot shine aresol stuff is greatttt.
1. fill up buckets with soap & water.
2. carefully slide my arm undearneath, using wheel/tire bucket/sponge to clean undercarriage/exhaust, etc. rinse.
3. rinse entire car.
4. using car bucket/sponge, wash from the roof down, rinsing out the sponge in between panels. rinse car.
5. waterblade & chamois car.
6. using wheel/tire bucket/sponge, clean wheels, wheel wells & tires. rinse.
7. dry wheels using wheel chamois.
8. clean/rainx windows.
9. tire shine.
10. vacuum & wipe down interior.
11. decide whether my supercharger needs polished/sealed & what the engine bay needs. if so, i do it.
12. clean up, have a drink & look at the black shineeee
thats on the weekly...i won't even get into if i'm prepping for a show
