His mods are in his vbgarage. Mods of the SRT need to be known for this to be believable.

Thread title says Caliber was on 20 psi. I've witnessed how hard a 15-16 psi SRT4 pulls. A 20 psi would be at levels to destroy the internals of the motor but possible to keep together.

yeah 20 psi on our motors (CSRT4) is not dangerous at all. the CSRT4 is probably over 310 whp at 20psi

from a caliber forums i belong to

348/411 on 93octane 21psi

350 and 378 on pump gas, stock turbo. 21psi

****** video won't work.
and it really depends on the srt-4's mods and how fast they were going.

Those srts can ******* pull though guy up here that comes out on the weekends is running almost 600whp in the damn thing.

ummm so was i the only one the saw the part that said the caliber was having issues? this is completely believable.

He dyno'd around 350whp o believe, and he is have an issue with misfires, he says his car isn't running right but not much of a decrease from how it was running. Ill ask him what his mods r the next time I see him. And in the frist race he missed 3rd that's y we raced again.

I call bullshit. If hes running 20 psi he MUST have RT stage 1. RT stage 1 gives the CSRT 350 whp /375 wtq. That heaton isnt going to hang with one, no ******* way in hell.

Jeesh, I ran a STI with an upgraded turbo from a 60 mph roll and was dead even BEFORE I did my map clamp. My map clamp added lots of TQ and some HP.

This CSRT either:

a) is running a shitty tune from PTP
b) was screwed by the dyno shop
c) is misfiring like crazy
d) was tuned by a map clamp, and OBVIOUSLY the owner doesnt know how to tune it

Also, 20 psi is a no-no on stock injectors. The most u can safely run is ~18 on stockers. I will post this on the caliber forums and see who this is.

My Caliber SRT-4 on 18PSI, meaning that the highest amount of boost seen on the fastest run was only 18psi. So most of the run car is in 15-17psi range.

Caliber has an electronic throttle, so you can jam 25psi in it if you want but if your throttle closes to 20-30% it's pointless. At the moment it's very difficult to tune this car properly. I am sure, in few years when someone figures out how to fully control this cars PCM you will see a stock turbo caliber on slicks run very low 12s for fun. With right weight reduction better boost control, I won't be surprised if you see someone clip an 11s on the stock turbo.

112MPH on 1.8 60ft in a neon would be good enough for 12.4-12.5 yet I can only manage 12.78... There is significant bog between every shift, especially 1-2 that in itself holds this car back about 0.2-0.3s..

I don't want you to think I'm hating on cobalts as I am VERY happy to see GM fix the original mistake they made with the supercharger, but I think, if that caliber was tuned properly, he would've pulled on you significantly. Kill is a kill tho so congrats!

that cobalt is making a MAX of 270 ish whp with his mods, and thats being generous. Honestly people, do the math:

350 whp CSRT at 3100 lbs

vs

270 whp SS/SC at 2900 lbs

no ******* way that CSRT should have lost if it is truely running 350 whp on a GOOD tune, and DEFINITELY not on stock injectors.

and BTW srtst, I spike 19 ish psi with .3 knock @ 88% throttle the WHOLE TIME

hehe, true. Im really surprised I can run as high as 19.1ish spike in 3rd and get away with it on stock injectors. I just got my clamp tuned just right yesterday and its working awsome.

haha, I acutally clamped it too low and got around 3.0 stkr with a map volt of 2.6 when I was tuning it yesterday! That was scary. Now shes a steady 3.2 with .3 kr max in all gears.
