sweet, now can we use some loctight on these? believe it or not, people steal antennas here...they stole my buddies shorty...which was just the stock one cut shorter with a vacuum cap on top, but they stole it non the less...

You could use loctite, there probably wouldnt be a problem using loctite because these are so small you never have to remove them for car washes, etc.

Awesome antenna. I got mine about a month or so ago and its looks real great, but remember that this is only an appearance mod, it will not help your reception.

 

Installed mine about 2 weeks ago and it looks great. I need to take some pics.

I just installed mine. I noticed with mine that I cant get it to sit flush with the base no matter how tight I turn it. I can still see a slight amount of the factory post underneath, is this normal? Reception is still great and I am completely satisfied other than the gap.

 

I have the same gap too.

 

Glad Im not the only one. It doesnt look awful but it is noticeable.

 

I just checked our 2009 Cobalt SS and theres a gap of about 1/10th of an inch between the antenna and the base. I never noticed it or saw it until I went outside and inspected our car. Its not noticeable, and still looks great.

hey i sent ya a PM i have a problem with my antenna.. ordered one for my 2006 ss and the female threads are so large they just slide over the stud and pop right off

 

Theres no need to pm me, you ordered the wrong size antenna !!

Just like it states on our website, 2006 is THE problem year and you need to check your antenna size.

If yours doesnt fit, then you need the other antenna. Send it back to us with a copy of your invoice and an explanation and we'll exchange it for you.
