First time at the track last night. Interesting results. Thoughts?
A 106 trap is really quick. With a working clutch you may be closer to 110. Usually the best times are ran with a low DA, and it got down to -1000 that night.
Get the clutch replaced, I'm getting my differential fixed and when all is said and done we should get a bunch of people to go back. I kinda want to run you from a roll too, I think it may be pretty even.

Ross, Its Nick. I'm from your town, I was at atco with you the other night, and I'm pretty sure you know my mods...Full Exhaust, Intake, Shifter, Spec stage 3+ clutch.
I'm just bored at Rutgers Camden, and nothing is going on right now at ls2gto.com, so I decided to join this forum too.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure who you are. lol jk bud. I was like "who the f is this guy that knows me with one post?" lol. But yea come join the craziness that is this forum. It's honestly like 5% cars and car-related talk, and 95% random bullshit. It's fun though
But yea man, I'm down for a roll once your goat is up and running again. I wanna see how much I'll lose by lol

I thought that at first, but think about it, I trap 112 113 on Street Slicks at 18psi. I have a great clutch and hit every gear.
He is slipping 1st and 2nd, feathering the clutch between gears, and still trapping 106? His car has a lot of potential once he gets that clutch replaced.
From a dig I'd get him because of rwd, unless he is a god at launching. From a roll...I think its going to be close.

I don't know. I spend enough time at the track and a GTO trapping 113 is good for mid 12s, maybe better, with the right driver. A Cobalt trapping 106 is generally a mid 13 second car. A full second is sizable. From a roll the Cobalt might be able to keep it within a bus-length. The faster you go the further the Cobalt will fall behind.
I agree with what you are saying, it's the roll that I think may be close. He is putting down 255whp. I haven't had my car on a dyno, but ls2 gtos with similar mods dyno between 375 and 400 depending on the tune. I am also carrying almost an extra 1000 lbs. I really want to see this outcome.
Ross, have you ran against your old srt-4 yet? Maybe we should get that involved too...

I usually cross between 12.3 to 12.5.

But yea Nick, like I told you when my cousin's fiance and I swapped cars, we did a 40 roll. He was in 2nd in my car and I was in the GTO (LS2) and I was in 3rd when he took off so I just gunned it in 3rd and we were completely even, the SS might've pulled a little bit. So a proper 40 roll with both cars in 2nd would defintely result in the GTO walking away from my car. He only had intake and a catback on the GTO too btw.
haha my apologies for upsetting people. I'm not here to **** people off. I'm not going to lie I do envy most of you. I may have a v8, but there is nothing like the whine of a supercharger or sound of a turbo under full throttle.
bet you didn't call his trap though .... hence why Ross can take a stock TC from a roll. Even though my stock TC ran .5 quicker in the 1/4 mile, he trapped higher. Stock time is below.
yup, no reason that 330' shouldn't be under 6sec, even with that 2.3 60', and that 1000 should definitely be in the 11's with that much mph.
You are probably just shifting into 2nd too soon. Shifting as soon as the rpm's hit your shift point, and you are probably still spinning slightly, which is causing the clutch to slip. If you hold out 1st a tad bit longer, let the rpms drop down when the tires catch and then they'll shoot back up, you can shift and your times will drop dramatically.

my car vs another tvs... i pulled him the whole run, even when i hit the limiter in 3rd at the 1k mark and just let off the gas to finish, i beat him by .5 and 6mph... i got some traction mods sitting in my house waiting
i trapped 106 friday night, then a 107. both were a low 14 though. hahahaha, stock clutch at 53k miles and its at 10% slip throughout the entire runs. and my passenger side halfshaft isn't getting power, so i'm on one wheel drive
