Raceing and Tires

Hello,

I was reading in my owner's manual about my tire pressure.
It reccomends 32psi. However it says that if I anticipate speeds
of over 100 mph that I should set my cold tire pressure at 35psi?

Just wondering what a good track pressure is?

What type/speed rateing tires should I use to run a 1/4 mile race with?
Are the stock ones ok for that? Or will they fail?

Thoughts/comments please,
