Well, just got new tires for the Turbo SS at 23K miles, and I ended up going with the Kumho Ectsa ASX (must have all season) tires... I am very pleased with them so far. I was going to buy the Avid's that I previously had on my SCd balt, but they had gone up in price. I stayed with stock tire size as well.

I want to buy a new set for the 06 ss/sc on stock wheels. I assume the 235/40-R18 will fit. I am not lowered by the way.

I would go with 225/45 tire size. Read first post.

I have looked and the 235/45-R18 are the same size essentially. The circumference is off by a small margin. What is the width of the stock ss/sc 06 wheel?

235/ 40 r18 do rub on sprotlines with stock 7.5s but the speedo is not off more than a mph up to 110 the rub is not considerably bad and can be gotten rid by drilling hole in the wheel well and ziptied back to a suitable spot viola
