Next Generation Eaton Supercharger Provides Bigger Boost in Smaller Package

When in doubt upgrade, lol
after looking at the website looks like its the r1900 for me. maybe the 2300 so i dont have to get a bigger SC when i switch to a 460 later. it would cost me 12k to build my 351W stroker. but id rather spend 2-4k to SC my current motor then build another one. all i really need is another 100hp or so. should be able to put me in the running for the BBORR
The only bad thing about this TVS coming out now is that a lot of ppl have spent a lot of money on stage kits. It'll be like starting all over. For me, it's a toss up. Depending on how much this TVS costs and how much hp and trq it provides, I'll be stuck between a GM stage 2 and this new TVS Supercharger. Decisions decisions.......................
The TVS will be quite the gain over the M62, you guys. If you read the post it said the TVS will be a 4-lobe design opposed to our current 3-lobe. More Boost, Faster Boost, Less Heated Boost (Theoretically, hopefully this proves true), Faster car. There is no question about it... The TVS WILL outperform our current M62! I'm already saving. Hopefully, I'll have it on in 2012!
if i am reading the graph right it looks like this thing will have lag that the m62 didnt have but the high end is highly effecient. so the trade off is lag to gain power. in all honesty that would be a decent trade when you think about it since our issue right now is too much power to the wheels causing insane wheel hop prompting many to spend lots on trying to prevent the wheel hop.
There is not going to be lag. You don't get lag with a supercharger (unless its a centrifugal). True that the TVS flows less at low RPM, and more at high. That simply means you will have to use a smaller pulley, or a larger crank pulley (or both like the cobra guys). Then when the engine is at low rpm the blower will be at higher rpm, then with the stock blower, problem solved
Very interesting.
Hello everyone. New member havent read all of these posts yet but I will see what I can find out for you that I can release. I work for Eaton and just bought a Cobalt so I am interested myself, but I will share what I can.

also the rotors are twisted 160 degrees as oposed to the standard 120 degrees that the m-62`s are twisted
ok so will it run cooler? and is it comparable to a twin screw in performance gains? i know these answeres may not even be out yet but if they are i wanna know before i buy a twin screw.....which will be very very soon

Two things
The launch for the new Supercharger for aftermarket use will be Mid next year at the earliest. There will also be a bolt on WARRANTED supercharger kit for the 2.4 from GM performance parts sometime Mid next year.
