2 - Trying to show off your car on crowded streets in the rain
3 - Putting the car in neutral to come to a stop or take a turn?
Two thumbs up, two thumbs down. Unfortunately the math puts you at 0

uhh i live in nyc what do u want me to do???? theres no such thing as empty roads here and todays my day off i work you know not my fault it just happened to rain today.

I slow to a stop in gear then put in neutral when nearly completely stopped. Other wise the engine will stall. And it almost happened once. Especially if I'm slowing down in 5th. They say to put in neutral before under 1000rpm and that's what I do. Keeping the clutch in when stopped is burning your clutch. Any time it's in, your burning it. I'm not 1 of those idiots that throw it into neutral when stopping. I was stopping for stop signs. And 1 light. Also if you notice i'm in 2nd gear through 2 of the turns
thats cause they weren't stop signs. If you know your gonna come to a complete stop without needing to accelerate in emergency such as stopping for a stop sign (if you do stop for them) then its ok to just throw it into neutral as your approaching it like I did. The less clutch usage, the better.

WTF. I do this. I would rather replace my breaks than my clutch. using gears to slow down is alright, it is just more wear on the clutch and engine parts. I can change my breaks for cheap. So call me a cheap ass then.
I do the same, whats wrong with throwing it in N when coming to a stop. Plus it saves gas.
yes any time its engaged your burning it and wearing out the springs used when you press in the clucth

it's all explained in this video (start at 1:40 and watch till 3:30. at 4:00 he explains clutch burnage) i learned how to drive stick from his vids

NO
The only time you're "burning" a clutch is when it's either not completely engaged or disengaged.

IMO blue flash metallic is the ugliest cobalt color.
Sorry, dude, but nice video of stock everything. Kind of pointless?
Considering we all have cobalts, we know what they sound like and look like, but yours is completely stock.
Not bashing, just giving constructive criticism.

Wow.. I need to clear up some mis-information here. Not trying to come across as a dick, but rather trying to help you out.
The only time you're burning the clutch is when you are between engaged and disengaged.. aka slipping it. Pushing the clutch in doesn't burn it, LOL. It causes wear on the throwout bearing if you hold it down too long, but it does NOT burn it. Revving up to an ungodly RPM and riding the clutch out slow when taking off is burning it. When I take off, my RPM is NEVER over 1500 (rarely goes over 1200), even on hills. And I am on the clutch for a second tops. Same for slowing down and letting the clutch up slow, THAT burns it. You can downshift to slow down all you want, just rev match. As for saving gas.. you use more gas when the car is in N than when its in gear and slowing down. Why? Becuase when the car is free revving and slowing down, the injectors aren't putting any fuel into the cylinders whereas when the car is in N it is idling and fuel is needed to keep the engine running. And ALWAYS use engine braking when going down hills, NEVER ride the brakes. Ever. WHen coming to a stop, keep the car in gear until it comes down to about 1000RPM, then push the clutch in and switch to N before coming to a complete stop. If you need to start moving again, put it in 2nd, rev match, and have at it.

I understand that you're still learning. That's great. Just believe me when I say that some of the stuff I'm listening to this guy say is just out there. He talks about how you'd rather spin your tires because they're cheaper. I don't know about NY, but here, that'll get you a ticket. Depending on the cop it could be reckless driving, failure to maintain control of the vehicle, possibly both depending on his mood. Then how cheap will it be? Don't take what he says as gospel and don't think you're an expert driver or mechanic because you watched youtube. This is just some guy with a camera in his car trying to explain what he thinks he know about driving a manual transmission.
Eventually, I'm pretty sure, there will be a day where you'll be like, "What the hell what that guy thinking?"
