I had those KDW2's on my last car- un-effin-believable! I almost rolled the damn car once because the tires gripped so well that my suspension couldn't handle it.
editted to add-
BFG doesn't make KDW2's in 18s. I didn't notice if you were running smaller wheels or not, but I thought I'd give you a heads up on that. I already looked into it.

06Black, are you looking for a good drag tire or all around performence??? I would go with the Alzenis if you want to hook a bit better and the KDWs for all around.

As for the tires, I say go with KDWs if you've got the money for them.

I found them on tirerack. You can either get them in 225/45/18 or 235/40/18. I would probably go wider if I was buying new tires. I hate the 215 width. Here you go.

DAMN!! THAT IS AWESOME. Three months ago I checked tirerack- nothing. Talked a guy I know that works at a tire shop into calling BFG for me, they even told him they didn't make them in 18. That Rocks!!!

sorry i forgot to add that i'm runing a 235/40/18tire size and as for the early questions I want the tire with the best grip but with a trad wear rating that will at least get me all summer with some very hard launch's at woodward i've alredy got some drag tires so i just need these for handleing and traction....thanks agen guys keep it comein!

I saw that. Our time is actually 18x7. That is what is stamped on the inside of my rim. However, I have heard of guys that are running with 235's and have no big sidewall bulge. Says that turning is great. I was concerned at first about that size until he told me about his great results with the tire.

have heard nothing but good things about the kdws. my friend with his mach one and cobra has had 3 sets and loved all of them. took some corners at like 75 80 and i mean sharp ones car stuck. very nice tires deff the ones im going to get in the summer.

You're still changing the shape of the tire by sqeezing it onto a smaller rim than it was designed to fit. Maybe I'll go with the 225s instead.
He had goodyear F1 GS-D3's on his. They were 235/40/R18 for sure. I asked him if the side wall rolled over the rim and he said no. I was worried as well to go that wide on this rim.
225/45/17 is a better size to use over the 215/45/17
ive got the azenis sports the old model to those , and ive got close to 30,000 miles on them and they still arent to the wear bars yet , ive known people that got alot less , but they either raced alot more or didnt align their cars
the only bad things i can say about the tire , the side wall is stiff and you feel it on less than nice roads , and for drag racing they kinda suck cause they dont get soft enough when hot
i love them other wise , the bfg's are a great choice also , and might be my next tires , since i want the slightly softer side wall
