Here's the thing...

I don't care about how fast it can go around a track... 99.9% of ZR1 and GTR owners won't take them to a track. The GTR is built to handle, the ZR1 is faster top end, 0-60, quarter mile and braking.

On the street, no one cares who handles better.... It's irrelevant.

because when i was in high school (in 2001) i owned a 90 honda civic with a b16a and turbo swap...i ran 12.7's all day on sacramento raceway (that was huge back then for a 4cyl) yet there was a Zo6 that always picked on me no matter what..and ever since then i have had a chip on my shoulder about corvettes..i think most of the owners are like that...when i had my yamaha r6 i would hand them there asses lol..and wanna do it with my cobalt...i know..childish...but oh well

z06's and cobalts can live together in peaceful environment. It's unfortunate what happend to you back then but not all vette drivers are assholes.

Haven't read all replies yet, but from that movie, whats with the nasty ticking sound in the GTR? Sounds like my mom's AC when the water hits the fan.

Secondly, the GTR is already in production and the ZR1 isn't yet, which means they can tweak things since its not yet in the factory.

Thirdly, this has been brought up before, but AWD is not superior to RWD in handling. It does make keeping the car under control a lot easier, so you don't need as much of a driver mod. But the weight that it'll always have keeps it from performing like a RWD in the same performance bracket. AWD's real advantage lies in runs from a dig since thats when powering all wheels has a great use on roads. I think its best track ought to be rally races where they go off road(don't watch many, someone help me out).

Fourthly, they have an chief engineer named freakin' Tadge Juechter. Thats as cool as having one called Scotty. "We need more power, Tadge!"

GTR fan bois to the rescue! Reading > YOU! The GTR was 2 seconds faster when the Vette was
A. Driven by a NON PROFESIONAL DRIVER and....
B. Driven on a wet track with the above mentioned non profesional driver.

So the GTR on a nice sunny dry day is a tad faster then the Vette on a rainy wet day and your looking at that as a victory? Ummm..... ok what ever makes it easier for you to sleep I guess.

But I'd prefer to see them both run on the same day with the same driver and see the out come. BTW as for this V spec car...... its not out yet! And its not yet in this country sooooo way to go argueing your moot points!
