Trade my 07 SS SC for new TC??

07 SC stage 2, catback, CAI, 10,000 miles. I was thinking of trading it for the new SS TC because of the new 0% interest. might be able to get my payments down. IF so, i would trade it. IS that a good idea though? because Ive read that cars with my mods, beat the TC?? i know its stock vs modded, but is there going to be mods for the TC? I dont want to trade in for a slower car ya know... Thanks

You won't be getting a slower car, and yes there will be mods.

well hopefuly the payments work out then. I checked out trading for a saturn sky, but it is a 33k dollar car and monthly payments were 450. id think on the 23k cobalt they will be a bit better. only problem is i have negative equity in my car. the will give me 15k trade in, and i owe like 20,000, anyone know how all that will work out?

Yeah I was thinking of a Sky too..but the price, only a 2 seater, and I don't like soft tops. Umm I'm not really experienced with financing especially with negative equity...but it doesn't seem like you really owe too much so it should be cheaper still than what you would pay for the Sky. Do you have $ for a downpayment also?

no money for DP, thats what kills me. im living on campus workin for a prof this summer and making like 0 dollars (that i can throw at a DP) im paying 400 a month right now, so if i can get to that i think il do it. And i think it will be 400 or less a month based on what the sky would cost me, but that was all with out considering my negative equity so im not too sure..

the saturn sky was 450 a month with a 15k trade in and thinking i only owed 15k on my car (meaning it would be a wash) so im not sure what the payments will be like considering the negative equity. but also the cobalt is 10k cheaper...

yeah thats my only prob,I want RWD. I think its going to be pointless to keep modding my cobalt because traction is such an issue. I was thinking that the TC has the traction control and would be a car easier to mod. WEll not easier but at least you can put that power to the ground easier...??? its either take advantage of the deal they got now, or wait a couple years untill i get this paid off and then move on to bigger better things.

---- What are you guys driving?

well not necessarily.. because i am paying a lot in intrest, and with the new car i would be paying 0%... but thats why im just gonna go to the dealer and have him crunch the numbers... why cant they make our cars RWD... it would be soo much sweeter.

what i want i cant afford. V8 RWD 6speed. but untill then i have no qualms about driving a 13 second car that gets 32 mpg. I guess ill just have to wait untill tomorrow to find out what the monthly payments are. and see if It makes sense. Im not switching cars unless its same price-ish.. no reason to pay more money for essentially the same car.

there are plenty of used RWD V8s around for less than the price of a new ss/tc

No used vehicle will give me 0% finance, and the reason i bought brand new is because i had horrible luck with a few used card not under warranty. so Warranty is huge for me.

yeah so I was right so your adding 5,000 to what ever car you by.Which means even at 0 intrest you are starting in the hole it takes a long time for intrest to be 5000$ on a car

figure it this way take your payment now x 12 x the years of loan then take away what you paid for the car. how much intrest would you pay if you kept the car till paid off?
