We engrave the shift knobs included with the Cobalt SS/TC short shifter with the 5 speed pattern by default. If you would like one with no engraving we do have some in stock as well.

You could indicate that you would like the shift knob without engraving when you order in the comments section of the shopping cart, or you could call to order at 1-877-655-0540 from Monday to Friday. If you call to order, just be certain to explain to the person you speak with that you do not want engraving and it won't be a problem.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey, I noticed that there is a shifter for the HHR, but not the SS. Will the SS/TC shifter fit?

We do not have confirmation that the Cobalt SS/TC short shifter fits the HHR SS, we have tried to find a local test car but it's impossible to find in our area. We have a customer on another forum who ordered the short shifter to try on his HHR SS, we'll let you know once we have confirmation if it fits or not.

From the pictures we have seen, the HHR SS shifter looks the same as the Cobalt SS/TC.

We have had confirmation that the Cobalt SS/TC short shifter fits perfectly the HHR SS. The only difference in the installation procedure is the console removal, which apparently is easier in the HHR than it is in the Cobalt.

Thanks,

Frank

How much shorter is the TWM compared to the stock SS? Do you have a side by side pic?

The TWM short shifter is 1" inch shorter than the stock shifter. This the shortest we can achieve while retaining the reverse lockout mechanism. Most of the throw reduction comes from the relocated bottom pivot point on the shifter shaft.

Our short shifter is definitely the best choice for the Cobalt SS/TC!

Keep an eye on our section, we might have a sale for you guys very soon.

This shifter is definitely good enough to be worth the list price. If you can buy it for less than that you got a out of the park home run. It changes the cars character by making the transmission feel like a upscale German sports car. I would have never believed it if I hadn't felt it. I only bought it to make the car LOOK more business like. Was I surprised!
