Not happy with just taunting us with the new 2010 Chevy Cruze going on sale a year earlier in Europe than in the US, GM has now fully unveiled the World Touring Car Championship Chevy Cruze, all dolled up for serious action. The racing Cruze replaces the Chevrolet Lacetti as GM's WTCC corporate racer and will be driven by a 2.0 liter four cylinder and piloted by Brit racer Rob Huff, Swizerlander Alain Menu and Italian Nicola Larini. The rough part of this whole story is the pun-tastic headline GM uses in their press release. An audible groaner below.

I don't know about anyone else, but from certain angles, this looks like an awesome car. Then again, from other angles it makes me want to throw up. Could just be the ugly shade of blue.

I just emailed GM Performance yesterday about our ideas for a Cruze SS coupe...I hope they take some of our ideas into consideration.

 

wow those tail lights look alot like the CSX type-s lights or even the Civic SI Sedan.........can't do any better GM?

its a dodge u moron. All dodges have that trademark huge honeycomb front bumper. Mine looks even and flows, the cruze does not, not at all.

OK by me. All youll ever be able to appreciate is my rear bumper anyway. Just think, then u can tell ur friends u were PWND by a SUV lunchbox in a race!

Ill also take my uber versatility and amazing all year round driving over your lack there of any day.

 

You have five huge ass holes in your front bumper. How dies that flow? Sure it makes air flow more efficiently, however at least with the Cruze it only has the center hole.

 

The center hole is an oblong OVAL, and doesnt match with the top grill AT ALL.

 

Are you kidding me? I bought my car for appearance rather than a huge aspect of performance. Second, you're boosted. I'm not. And third, who the hell uses uber? Speak english, please. I'm not bashing on you. I was stating my opinion that CSRTs are ugly. I don't see how you have all year round driving when I also have all year round driving. My Cobalt is a daily driver and has been for over a year now so technically, I do drive all year round.
