supercharging my 2.2 tomorrow
well tomorrow we're (centexcc) going to supercharge my 2.2 been building up and collecting parts since september, and finally now that i've taken off a week...as well as not in school we can finally do it.
http://www.centexcarclub.com/forums/...hp?topic=979.0
more info on the build etc...
i'm so excited. finally moving up into the fi world.
next will be the clutch, as i know mine will be going out with that much power on it.
then an engine build, and even more stuff to come
wish us luck.

well just an update.
we took off the pins from the lsj harness with the 42s and repinned it into the plastic sensor part for the 2.2. so no soldering required.
turned my single pass end plate into a dual, mounted the pump, the manifold, and the stock h/e.
still gotta install all the other piping, and the cobra h/e, as well as the option b.
also the sc of course, need to get the injen intake..should be coming in the mail. and that tune from vince...and since hes been under 2 ft of snow in seattle he hasn't been able to send it. also gotta install my mrz stock size crank pulley.
really tired. out for the night. will def be updating with pics and vids no worries.
thanks guys

the install hasn't been bad.
just a couple of random issues, like making the stock h/e fit right.
lsjs have 2 fans with a space between them, we have 1. so the welded on bent piping for the h/e doesn't fit ...so we just cut it off at the bottom and made it work.
i think thats the main issue we've run into so far....
other than that. the change of the radiator hose was easy.
so was taking out the dipstick, and moving the ac condensor lines a bit to make everything sit right.
its pretty cut an dry. i'm using an lsj throttle body, ill have to repin that to make it work right, but you don't necessarily have to use that.
we also have to install the tensioner...and since my friend juan fucked up my belt for the sc setup, we'll have to get another. (you have to cut a rib off to make it work on our cars)
idk, its pretty easy...it would have been done had we not had to drive back and forth to round rock (about 15-20 mins away from hutto where the car club pres lives) to get stuff like some drill bits, taps, and random screws and bolts haha. but i've got time, and since my tune isn't gonna be here till monday i can wait.
and idk, i think a turbo build is much easier than the sc build..but the sc build isn't bad either. it is cheaper though.

a day easy. its pretty much just repinning, relocating certain things, and bolting stuff in.
..that is if you aren't like us and like to get food, and grill and drink a bit too haha.
we had most of the club over. most were just chillin, having a good time. so it was hard to get to seriously into it. 2-3 guys working alone, would easily knock it out in a day, if even that long if you had all the right parts.

hmm, really if you don't do dual pass, or option b (not necessary at all)

yea no prob casey.the repin is pretty easy.
i would have done it, had he not been all stubborn about it haha.
all you did to pull the pins out is grab small pliers and move the pins a round and pull from behind.....only after you've taken the plastic pin that keeps the wires in place from the back. from the 2.2 side...you never take out the map. follow the diagram for the repinning order. its pretty easy. just a suggestion, label your injectors, and it makes it even easier once you've taken the tape holding them together. any questions ask me, or juan.
