EVO 10 or SS/TC
Well im looking to get ether a new cobalt TC or an evo 10 gsr. A dealership here in town just got a 08 evo gsr and after talking to them for a while i was able to talk the price down to $31,950. My other option is a 09 fully loaded WHITE!! SS/TC for $22,500. IM so torn between the 2 i dont know what to do. The evo is within my price range and i love the car but dont know much about it. I know there are a few evo owners on the boards, what are your guys thoughts on the evo 10's. Been doing a lot of research but would realy like the imput from a few car enthusiast. I probly would have went and got the evo today if it hadn't been for my friend let me drive his TC. I was surprised at how much power the sob has, hes got a custom tune and the thing feels just as fast as the evo from a roll and the thing handles great. This is gona be my last car purchase for atleast 5-7 years so im looking for longevity also. What do you guys think?

im gonna say cobalt. I prefer the cobalt in all aspects except the FWD one. AWD FTW, but cmon... a tune can get you 300whp....thats pretty sweet

I agree with you. Plus, in my opinion, the new Evo look doesn't catch my attention.

its a tough decision. i was thinking of getting the gsr as well. the evo looks very sexy and has awd. the tc looks pretty good and has way better mpg. if you are looking for longevity go for the cobalt but if you want to have a sexier and a little faster car as well as way better looking interior. you can mod the tc with simple bolt ons, the stage kit from gm, and a tune for alot less then the evo and make it faster than the evo. i would still go evo tho.

this is a cobalt site and naturally most of us would lean towards a TC. but common sense would tell us that a 30k plus car should be an overall better car than a 23k car....... not only that, but awd > fwd

Its a tough one....this summer i will be making a similar decision as you (be able to get any car i want under 30k or so) and because i miss my balt i am thinkin going with the ss/tc....even though its fwd. It depends what you wanna do with the car.

Cobalt. I hate Evo's with a passion. All of our local owners are a-holes and think they're teh f4st3st.

wow how is the cobalt winning?
judging by the experiences with my car i would settle for just about anything else i would probably go with a new lancer instead of a cobalt but that's because i can't afford the evo evo hands down ( not that i don't love the balt, it just squeaks and clunks and the lip and side skirt have fallen off and has been pissing me off lately) Quote:

resale? no one will be working to buy it!
keep your car, buy your gas and live your dream........some of us have larger responsibilities other than cruising around for 'kills'.
