its just i know iv seen that intake on a 2.2 before.. i just dont know where i saw it.

 

the intake does fit the 2.2, the only difference is the bracket that's supposed to connect to the top of the headlight area. but the other bracket works and keeps more than stable enough

lol i had a 2.2 aem on my car it fit 100%

it will fit.. they say it wont because they have not tested it themselfs and are covering there asses

 

look for a 2006 Trailblazer 5.3L intake...they don't exist but funny thing is they share the SAME EXACT airbox as the SS's do!!!
