Question Best place to start dual exhaust?

Getting to work on my cobalt LS 2.2, and after I install new rear bumper i'm looking to instal dual exhaust. Problem being, I don't know best place to put a splice in the tail pipe. Could anybody tell where? from the heads? or from behind the fuel tank?

The best place to start a dual exhaust is on a V6 or V8.

Other than that. Do some research on the Neon SRT-4's, they have a pretty badass setup. Find out how their exhaust is designed. if you've got the resources to get one fabbed-up to fit over/under/around our chassis, then more power to you. Post up some pics when you're done.

Also, this should probably be under a technical section for the 2.2

yea there is no point in doing dual exhaust cuz we got 4 bangers. its better if you had a v6 or v8. pointless for our cobalts. even f/i cobalts don't have dual.

if i was going to do a dual exhaust i would bring it downthe center of the car like stock and then instead of doing that turn to the drivers side then up and over the axel i would just continue going straight and over the axel in the middle of the car then do your "Y" into the dual exhaust
