UnLiMiTeD trapped 88 in a stock 2.4. So I think some driver skills are lacking.

Let me guess. All of you guys run these sub-par times lately are letting the clutch fly when you're launching?

i love it when someone runs a terrible time in a decent car, and their shitty time is because of the car, not because of the driver.

All this talk about driver mod, I can't find it anywhere in the vendor's forums. Is it like software? Can I mod the car to push my Onstar button so it activates, cuz I don't want to drive around town with my stage X driver mod on. Is it something I plug into my cigarette lighter? I really don't get it.

The only way to get it is to take it from someone who has it already since there isnt enough driver mod to go around. Contrary to past belief it is NOT a renewable resource.

Talking

A Driver mod replaces your primary control modual. Not tobe confused with your powertrain control modual. The Primary Control Modual, moniters the car's speed, engine RPM, Stageing Light status, and an area ahead of and arround the vehical useing nero-optical sensors. This information is then processed in the central-nearo circtry and output correction commands are sent via actuatiors to various controls arround the vehiccal, to regulate, optimise shift points, shifting speed, acceleration, acceleration speed, clutch/throttle timming ect.
Sometimes the Driver mod does not need to be aclomlished but repeated runs down the track causes the Primary Control Modual to adapt to the track conditions and performance and time will imporove.

Have you had the car on a dyno? Are you shifting into 4th right before the end? Short shift 3rd @ 5800 . I'm no expert .....I've only got 4 passes total in a cobalt ..... two passes stock ...two passes with superchips . Slowest stock was 14.4@ 102 tuned was 13.7 @106. Fastest in sig .

13.7 was the slowest tuned ...I've only made 4 passes ever in a cobalt ....2 stock and 2 with a superchips tune.

Best was 13.4@ 106 tuned
Best stock was 14.2 @103 with 1100 miles on it .

I had never launched this car till i made those first two stock passed this summer so I know with more track time I coulda pulled a 13 second pass stock. I was shorting 2.3 2.4 so there was alot to be made up there.
