What to do next..?

So heres the deal, right now i have mainly some appearance modifications done (tint, painted interior pieces, de-badged rear bow-tie, color matched front bow-tie, short antenna, and i have a high rise spoiler on the way).

Now over the winter months, i'd like to purchase some of the bolt-ons (intake, charge piping etc). I know you'll say "get a tune", well i'd rather put the parts on then tune it, do it all in one shot short of thing.

My question to you guys is, what should i start with and go from there with? Like buy an intake, then downpipe or what not, any help would be great, even on different products you may suggest!

Thanks a lot!, Mike

i would buy the synaspas kit or whatever it is called, sorry im a poor speller.
or if you dont got the flow for that, i would look into the GM Stage 2 kit, and then look at the charge pipes and intake.
with the exhaust i would buy the whole thing all at once, down pipe with a high flow cat, or a dp with a fake cat in it, and then a cat back system. in 3"
but remember when it comes to the exhaust your car will only put out what it can bring in.
if you can get things cheap such as intake hot and cold charge pipes then i would look in to pgrading the K04 (i think thats what it is) turbo to a GT28 or GT30
but then again i dont know what your getting into with them cars really.

what about an intake, and some charge piping. then a spare ecu for tuning. that way you can have aftermarket performance and still have your warranty with the dealership

after all the reading on things to do with these cars, for the TCs it seems like the way to go is with a DP and a tune. I'm getting the vibe that intakes aren't worth it and that your best route is the airbox mod. I'm going to be gettin charging pipes and a downpipe from the gf for xmas

Screw getting an intake. None of them are worth it yet. They mess with fuel trims and such. Stick with the stock airbox

So seems like an intake is out of question right now, a downpipe seems to be in the good books i guess? Whats a good one to look at? How is installation on those?

Keep the ideas coming guys! Thanks a lot!

I bought the CIA catted stainless 3" dp and it is awesome, by the time i got it here it cost me $450. Might be selling my intake and charge pipes this winter to go a different route. Ill have to see what is available. I just ordered a synapse 600hp intercooler. The best thing to do is what i doing. When i buy a mod, i question it and say, hmmm......If i go with a bigger turbo will this work, and thats what i have done so far minus the intake.

Im fully bolted now, with the exception of a catback, and i dont need it right now. Im getting custom tuned in the spring so ill be good to go

Thanks for the post, gives me lots of good info. I have been looking for prices and such around, and seems like a lot of people suggest the CIA dp, so i may send them a message to find out some pricing to get it to NS. But other then that, installation on these bolt ons, simple or not? I'm no mechanic by any means, but would give it a go if its simple enough.

Thanks for all the great info guys.
