How many shots of NOS?

I know people here have bottles on their SS's/RedLine and probably on their non SS's too lol. How many shots do u think is safe to put on??? I have CAI, and will have 2.8 pulley with 60lb injectors, and hp tune soon. Any advice on how much I should be using??? Thanks guys.

It's all in the tune, you can run a 50shot all day and be safe. You can run a 75shot and not be pushing it, just pull a few degrees of timing. I personally wouldn't run over a 100 shot, but thats just me. I have and it didn't end well, damn cyl pressure lol.

I can't stress enough how important a good tune is though when running nitrous. That is the most important part of running nitrous. A safe setup and a damn good tune.

He asked me about tuning him. I can make his car run hard on bottle, have before. Or he can be like my boy Gio, and blow up on a 75 shot on stock pulley...

If so...

He was trying to race some really fast cars a week ago wednesday, and couldn't even pull on my stock nismo. I'm talking 500+whp cars that were setting up for a serious KOTS race, and he was trying to get in the middle. He was probably the second or third slowest car out there, along with me.

It's retardedly easy to make power that way, but you have to have some respect for it and a little self restraint. Most people blow up because they don't understand how it works, but a properly tuned/setup nitrous car can be stupid quick. My car on bolt-ons with a 2.8" pulley was quicker than a lot of high 300whp cars on bottle, not because of sheer power, but because of the way it is delivered. A car that snaps forward from the hit can overcome a large 'peak' power deficency. I beat a lot of "faster" cars with my Cobalt.

My car on it's final setup, with cams and pistons, was quicker than an LS2 C6 from any roll, at any speed I could pull away, on about a 65 shot. I know those cars are solid mid 300's wheel, and they weigh just over 3000lbs.

I dunno

Lol first of all. No I got no purple lights, and specially no Evo Mod. I was just asking a question, cause I have a bottle with the lines and everything ready to set it up. But since I am kind of new with this cobalt, I wanted to ask for opinions. If u got nothing to say about what I am asking, don't write anything and ignore the thread.

look at it this way. if it takes you one shot to turn a 6-level girl into a 6.5, two shots to turn her into a 7, three into a 7.5, four into an 8, 5 into an 8.5, 6 into a 9, 7 into a 9.5, and 8 into a 10, then id say put 8 shots on it. thats how i figure out my shots
