Whats new... well, been busy working on the car. Almost finished up with the sound system, just had my Performance exhaust installed (Sounds sweet... response seems improved).

In the things to come category, I am planning on installing my Intake, Strut bar and Torque dampener installed this weekend and am still waiting for my Stage 2 which the dealership doesn't have a clue how long it may take to get one. I am also thinking about ordering up the Power Slot Rotors, and EBC Green Stuff pads but it looks like the shipping on them would be really expensive.

I just heard about the weekly meets yesterday so I have never attended and don't have contact info for anyone to get more info, but hope to meet up with everyone soon. It's good to hear that there is a significant group of locals meeting already.

I haven't been to the track yet. I have been really busy with work (and future job opportunities). I don't know if I will make it out at all this summer now.

Leafy and someone else from Edmonton went a week or two ago. They got good times considering our altitude.

P.S. I'm diggin that signature Jekyl!

apparently, the meets in calgary are guys who either dont know about ss.net or just dont care to go on. There are 3-4 SS S/Cs that meet on saturday on the 52nd street SE tim hortons (street races). But i dont like to hang out there becuase its full of rice and +16 second cars with drivers who talk alot of ****. Im gonna go to talk to these guys, (I already know one owner who is a girl and we talk regularely) and gonna get these guys to join ss.net

The point was that most of the people with the 16+ second cars that hang out there talk like their car is god's gift of cars and can beat anything. Are you this kind of owner? I hope not.

don't worry about how you'll look...just practice. Droping tires to 25PSI should help you get a good launch.

My very first 1/4 mile pass (76 350 4 speed Camaro) was ammusing. I was side ways!

Usually I go after work, I live in the NW and there is little sense in fighting traffic and then going south again.

Tech starts at 6pm. Theres a good variety of cars, few weeks ago a Corvette Z06 came out.

Next day I am going is June 2--looks like this friday will be rained out.

Good idea to get some base line times for your car---then if you do exhaust/intake you can tell what kind of gains they got you.

Avro206,
where did you get your elevation from? The highest point in Alta is Mt Columbia at something like 3700m? Not exactly sure what the elevations are in Edmonton and Calgary but i have been told that Ed is around 2200 and Cal is arond 2600.

Edmonton's elevation is 668 meters (2192 feet) and Calgary is 1048 meters (3438 feet). At least that is what Wikipedia says!

Just google! Or what Mi6 said. I got 3350 feet from a drag racer who competes at Race City. I think his car is in the 10 sec range, a big block IROC-Z. I think he has an altimetre

Hard to beleive your traveling over 1000ft uphill to Calgary--doesn't seem like it.

density altitude is the biggest problem in calgary. The air is so thin some days that it is equal to the air at 4500+ FT elevation.

Mike, I cant get Amanda to install it becuase I have my car here in Drayton Valley lol. But ITS RAINING!!! and we might shut down for the weekend becuase we cant get the frac crew in to frac this well!! haha I hope we get shut down.

Hey B-Spot, What Co-op? Is it the one at village square? (I remember Jase saying he had a meeting there) and If i put two and two together, I would assume that You see his car there.

Anyways, I live in Rundle 1 min away from Village square. Just thought Id let ya know lol.

So yeah, Hopefully I can get my parts installed this weekend If im shut down.

Sweet... i'm just down the road as well (Malborough). I'll have to meet up with you guys soon so I can take a look at your cars. I've only seen a couple others (One is owned by a Mechanic at Shaganappi and the other I saw a girl parking in front of the Spa Lady at the TransCanada mall on 52nd and 16th.
