how many runs are in a 50 shot 10lb bottle
on the 10lb bottle i would say 9 to 14 shots quater mile run and the 15lb bottle 13 to 19 shots but also it depends on the type of nitrous kit and jetting used and also if only using in 2nd and 3rd gears then you can expect a few more shots
Depends on what kind of runs.
I have 10lb bottle at $4.10 a lb.
If im street racing, then the spurts are like 30mph-70mph, and not a full fledged 0-100 like in the 1/4, so i can get a lot out of a bottle. Probably 30-40 runs.
Drag runs, you can probably get a good 15-18. Probably 15 then your bottle pressure will get low.

sounds abour right to me, but what i've found is that the better the kit, the better you do on the spray. a bottle warmer(keeps pressure up), good purge valve(less waste) and remote opener(nitrous lines always seem to leak a little) help a lot.

Thats like 75 per fill up. :\
tell me if you find a place. im sure theres one out there.
Yeah that is rediculous, 3.50 a pound at the shop I go to, but I can't think of the name now, hehe, and it's even on my keychain, but I've been in the desert and havn't filled up in awhile...damn desert...
we run spray in a few car my brother and i have and if you by it by the 60 # bottles. it is only 1.70 a pound, so that is the only way to do it. it is 5.50 a pound at all the local speed shopes
here u go guys....do the appropriate math for individual shot type-
this is for wet kits and from what i have read it goes as follows
100 shot at 10sec= .8lbs of nitrous
therefore a 50 shot for 10 sec uses .4lbs
so a half pound per 10 sec in a 10lb bottle =?
thats right 200sec! or a long ass time lol

ehhh, the math isn't that neat. the thing with nitrous is that no two set ups are the same. a lot will depend on how good the spray nozzle is, how much pressure it's under, how much power the car makes to begin with, etc etc etc. nooooooow... i would GUESS that if you had a bottle warmer, didn't purge the line every 30 seconds to impress losers, were jetted correctly and it was running right... maybe 15-20 good runs out of it.
holy crap, you guys get ripped, I pay 2.50-2.85 a pound max.
as joe said, it really varies on a lot of things. get purge happy and you'll be out a lot faster than you think.
having a bottle heater is the key to getting the most pulls at stable pressure out of a full bottle. I ran down to a little less than a pound a few weeks ago and she was stable the whole time, where as before I had the heater, or at least a good one, I would have fluctuation once it dropped below 5lbs
