Much to my surprise I had a nice little box waiting for me when I got home yesterday.

Just one day after I got shipping numbers, my interceptor scan gauge, and free
poly transaxle mounts were at my door, that is awesome. INTENSE rocks
Excellent correspondance, everything was nicely packed and arrived in perfect condition.




Gauge was easy to install, seriously a 10 minute job.
But I hardwired my radar detector in above my rear view while I had the pillar off,so it took me a bit longer.
I absolutely love this gauge though, def. worth the $.




I can't wait to install the mounts now. I saw a how to posted, but is there any way to get
the stock bushings out without destroying them? Is that how you guys did yours?

Anyways, just wanted to say thanks to INTENSE for the fast shipping and
great customer support. A+ vendor for sure.

 

I keep hearing such great things about Intense, it makes me wish I was in Ohio so I could have them reflash my PCM. The military is kinda strict about how far away I can go on a week end though. Having them reflash the ECM would make my performance smack easier to come buy, and would alleviate my irritation with GM for not selling the reflash seperatly.

 

That's why I want to buy HPtuners, that way you can just buy the tune from them and flash it yourself. No crank re-learn procedures or PCM mailing issues to deal with that way. And if you ever need to return to stock you can reflash for yourself, if you saved your stock tune.

 

As far as the mounts go, I bought the full transmission mount instead of just the inserts and am quite glad I did. The added vibration was more than I could personally stand on a day to day basis so at least I can easily swap the stock and poly mounts (just takes 10 min.) Poly for when I go out and play (hopefully at the track, soon), stock for regular day to day commuting. Just my personal opinion, others, the vibration might not bother.

 

Ya I hear ya, that's why I wanted to preserve the stock bushings if it's at all possible

I've heard that raising the idle slightly helps with these vibrations as well

 

what did u do with your boost gauge?

it is a scan gauge... meaning it displays anything your computer can read, and do hp, 0-60 times, performance, record stats, playback, display and reset cel's and it's worth every penny they charge for it

 

My boost gauge is sitting on my coffee table waiting for my tripple pillar pod.

There isn't much this gauge won't do, it plugs into your OBDII port and will display anything your PCM is reading. I wanted it for the shift lights, IAT2, KR, Timing advance, and the DTC abilities. Def. a nice toy and well worth the cash. It will even datalog all of the above, so it's a handy tool for tuning.

For now I mainly use it for the shift lights, but once I get staged and start doing more with performance it will be critical to keep an eye on the IAT and KR.

 

If you monitor MAP you can read boost up to about 15lbs (the limit of the 2 bar sensor).

Intense is awesome with the customer service, they've helped me out more than once.

 

I installed the Transaxle mounts over the weekend, and I love them. Thanks again Intense, feels like a whole new car now.

Acceleration feels much smoother, and the 1-2 shift is rock solid now. Sure you get a little vibration at idle, but I don't mind.

I'll post pics up later if anyone wants to see them.

 

me too. my gauge sucked, and they got aeroforce to give me a call. now only if they would call me back or leave a number next time.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of them and how easy/hard they were to install, maybe a bit about how you did them.

Great how-to, shows every bolt you need to pull. I have more pics if there is something you wanna see, but can't find in his write-up

The only thing I did different, was to pry the stock bushings out. He cut his out.
I just used a long screwdriver to to muscle them out, so I can go back to stock if need be.

You will need a press or at least a good vice to get these in.
